Well done Officer Ronald. We are incredibly proud of your selfless acts that inevitably saved the lives of these folks. We were proud to say you are one of our instructors before but even more so now! You are the epitome of what each of our recruits should strive to be like! Knowing you as we do, there was never a second thought about placing others before your own safety. Well done to all others involved also!

We wanted to recognize our professional women on International Women’s Day today! These ladies, along with our women instructors, are such a vital part of our continued success! The Academy would not be what it is today without their dedication and hard work!

We have collected nearly $4,000 for BackStoppers as a result of auctioning class flags! We would really like to make the donation but we need the rest of you that won a flag to please pick them up as soon as possible.

Congratulations Class 2-2020!!

As of this date, none of the police recruits of the Eastern Missouri Police Academy have tested positive for Covid 19. This is not to say it won’t happen however with the rising cases. Our recruits have their temperatures checked three times daily and are surveyed for any illness each day. If they are ill without a temperature they are not permitted to remain for class, nor can they return without propper testing. We have procedures in place should one test positive, simi...lar to those we implemented when Covid 19 began. We led the way for all Missouri academies in virtually training our recruits and will use this innovative technology accordingly. We have had recruits be quarantined due to exposure but they have never been allowed to return without proof that they are released. Those recruits were enabled to train virtually with their classmates so they did not miss training. The safety of our recruits, our instructors, the public, and our staff is as the forefront of our concern. Respectfully, Dr. Thomas D. Leasor Executive Director

Welcome Family and Friends of Class 2-2020

Real heroes! Thank you to all the Veterans who have served and those who continue being selfless with your sacrifice. We are privileged at the Academy to have full-time staff, instructors, and many recruits, prior and current, that we want to recognize as our heroes and say thank you.

Our recruits knocked this project out of the park, gathering and/or donating over 90 coats. Great job!
