This position is responsible for operations and activities associated with the operation of the Uplift Overnight Homeless Shelter in St. Francois County as well as providing additional support to the day to day Uplift Center operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, schedules, daily and overnight operation oversight, cleaning the facility, providing supplies, meals and meal prep, the timely processing of client intake, associated referrals, applications, s...pecial projects and reporting thereof. This position will also serve as the primary agency contact for the evening, overnight and weekend operation of the Uplift Overnight Shelter. College degree in social services and/or at least four years experience in working with low income programs, case management or related fields. A two year degree or two years of college training may be substituted for two years experience. Valid MO driver's license and insurance is required. These activities include, but are not limited to, the timely processing of client intake, associated referrals, applications, special projects and reporting thereof. This position will also serve as the primary agency contact for community networking and resource... coordination, as well as for other programs. High School Diploma or GED required and four years experience in working with low income programs, case management or related fields or a two year college degree and 2 years related experience. We wanted to give a shout out to all of the people and organizations who have helped us serve our St. François and Washington County Communities this week! On Monday we made an ask for volunteers to help us get food out to our seniors we serve at the Farmington Oaks Sr. Senior and to put together bags for the 40 or so homeless in St Francois county and boy did you all show up! In one day we served 104 seniors and the 40 homeless. Then in Washington County the Potosi Southe...rn Baptist Church stepped up to the plate among other churches in the Washington County area and by Thursday with the help of Bill Goad and several other community members had a warming shelter up and running! Together the Washington County community is serving approx. 25 people meals daily! We also have received many donations for items, food, clothing, and even monetary that have helped us serve almost 100 homeless this last week in the communities we serve! Christian Life Church delivered pizzas on Thursday night in St. Francois County and First Free Will Baptist Church is serving them on Sunday night! We definitely couldn't do this without all of your support and are so thankful for our communities! Just a reminder: Washington County Warming Shelter is open until Tuesday at 12pm and is at the Potosi Southern Baptist Church. Also, Uplift here in Farmington will be open both Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm.
