A hard day of MAP testing deserves... KICKBALL!
Fourth grade enjoyed yesterday's beautiful weather while learning outdoors at Tower Grove Park!
We’re from The Lou and we’re proud! Love these cityscapes our scholars created in art!
Cupcake smiles in kindergarten!
Our first graders were here to encourage grades 3-7 to Zap the MAP!
Feeling gloomy after daylight savings? Well, maybe a short excerpt from our Friday virtual assembly will brighten your spirits! Kasimu Taylor- musician, producer and songwriter (and uncle of a TGE EAGLE scholar), performed for us on Friday and spoke about music history, as well as how integrity and courage are necessary character virtues in his career.
So many of our scholars are welcoming new siblings these days that we ordered onesies to celebrate our future EAGLE scholars! This little cutie might have to wait five years, but your family can apply now for a seat in grades K-8! https://eagleprep.org/student-application-2021
We could not leave for spring break before celebrating the impressive work of our first graders on their Black History Month projects!
Thank you to Tishaura Jones, Treasurer of the City of St.Louis, for reading our scholars a book about earning and saving money today!
Congratulations to Linda and Makayah whose works of art were selected as two of the top 100 entries in the St.Louis Symphony’s Picture the Music contest! Their art was created in response to the third movement of Juba Dance by composer Florence Price.
EAGLE Families- If your scholar is re-enrolled for the 21-22 school year, they will receive a Bright Future t-shirt in the coming days. (Thanks to some of our future sixth graders for modeling!). To all families who live in St.Louis City, we have a few spots open in grades K-8 next year. Please apply at https://eagleprep.org/stlouis and choose Tower Grove East for our location.
Our scholars were excited to participate virtually in the Sheldon’s Drums and Dances of Africa program today! Thank you to the Sheldon Arts Foundation for making this experience possible!
Our teachers came up with some incredible ideas for celebrating Black History Month! Scholars are enjoying today’s PE stations that help them exercise while also learning about accomplished Black athletes.
We are excited to get back to learning after a lovely snow day! All scholars at EAGLE Tower Grove East will participate in virtual learning on Thursday, February 18. It looks like a warm up is on its way. We hope to return to our hybrid AB Day schedule starting next week!
EAGLE Scholars- We have a snow day tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17. Put on lots of layers and enjoy some time outside! After that, warm up your body and brain by completing some Zearn, Lexia, or IXL lessons once you’re back indoors.
It is a great day to bundle up like this fourth grade scholar and try some cool experiments in the snow! Here are some ideas: https://www.steamsational.com/snow-science-experiments/ .
