SMTA is having their first ~in-person Open-Mic Night~ this Friday at 7pm! It will be at the Center for Music Therapy and Wellness and admission will be $3 ($3.50 with card). Join us tomorrow for our mentorship movie night! We will be watching The Music Never Stopped, a movie about an individual who suffers a TBI & finds self-expression through music therapy. We are meeting tomorrow night at 7pm in the clinic. See you there!!

Intern Advice featuring Genevieve Travers. I'm completing my internship at Music Therapy and Creative Arts Inc. in Monett, MO! It is a clinic that provides music therapy services for kids and adults with developmental disabilities. My advice for any students looking for an internship is to be open minded and flexible in the application process. Learn a lot of repertoire and keep up with the guitar and do what you can to prepare, but in the end remember to be kind to yourself and that you're going there to learn.
