It's Football Season ... yes, even in 2020. Football is one of the most popular sports played by young athletes. With the combination of high speeds and full contact, it also leads all other sports in the number of injuries sustained. Be sure to take care of yourself or your athlete! Perform proper warm-up and cool-down routines and consitently incorporate proper strength training and stretching! If a dreaded injury does occur remember that Dr. Gross and his team are here to get you back in the game! Call us at 314-336-2566.

"Does what I eat matter?" We get asked this question a lot by patients who are recovering from surgery. Here's a quick post from our blog that answers just how big an impact what you eat can have on recovery from surgery: http://www.drlyndongross.com//how-nutrition-can-help-in-t/

The Orthopedic Center of St. Louis is celebrating Nurse Case Manager week in our Chesterfield office and in our Cape Girardeau office. Today Dr. Gross and Dr. Paletta provided mini Nothing Bundt Cakes in both offices. Tomorrow Dr. Gross will provide spooky sugar skull cookies at the Cape Girardeau office. Come by wether you have a patient being seen or not and enjoy a treat and say Hello. We appreciate you!!!

Don't just take it from us when we say that Dr. Lyndon Gross is awesome. Check out what Joeli Barbour had to say about Dr. Gross and the Gross Team: "First of all, let me say how thankful I am for Dr. Gross and his amazing team. Turns out I had something that is not super common. I came to see Dr. Gross and it was determined that I had an issue with my IT Band. Dr. Gross did an injection and also ordered PT, hoping that would take care of the issue. Unfortunately it did n...ot and with surgery to have my IT Band lengthened being the only option, I did not hesitate in my decision. I was completely confident in Dr. Gross and his team. Everything from the initial consultation through surgery and rehab, was top notch. I went from not being able to walk without excruciating pain or being able to kneel down on that knee, to being able to get out and a hike, walk and live my life to the fullest again. Recently I went to church camp with some of our youth. One of the activities we did while we were at camp was caving. We hiked to the cave and spent a couple of hours exploring the cave, which was quite strenuous and included some climbing and navigating through the cave which had a very slippery floor. After we finished exploring the cave, we had to hike back to the van. A good part of this hike was at a 45 degree angle. I never had a twinge of pain or discomfort the entire time. I would have definitely never been able to do that prior to my surgery. I have attached a photo of me after caving. It was so much fun and I was so proud of myself for being able to accomplish this. This would not have been possible without Dr. Gross and his team. They are extremely professional and efficient, but also very friendly and welcoming. It was always a joy to visit their office. I am so grateful for everything they have done for me. I highly recommend Dr. Gross and his entire staff. You will be treated wonderfully and as if you are the most important person to them." Do you have a favorite memory with our team? We'd love to know! Drop your best experience in the comments below.

Did you know that October 6th through 12th is National PA Week? The GrossTeam has an amazing PA we want to brag about! Kelli has been with the Gross Team since 2011. She attended Saint Louis University for Physician Assistant School, which she greatly enjoyed. ... Prior to SLU she went to Webster University in St. Louis where she was a four year member of the softball team playing both catcher and outfield. She even underwent her own shoulder surgery and recovery as a junior that she often shares with patients. Kelli lives in south St. Louis city, close to Ted Drewes custard. Her local favorite! Both she and her wife have 2 wonderful little girls who keep them really busy. In their free time they enjoy yard work, house projects, and slow pitch softball. Kelli loves being part of the Gross team and really enjoys spending time with patients and educating them on their injuries.
