Robin Urton: Dreambird Art

I am extremely fortunate to have a painting commission to work on right now, which is helping to pay for the down payment on my house. This robin detail compris...es 1/5 of the canvas. The theme includes 5 birds who each represent spiritual muses. Other birds I chose to include are a redwing blackbird, hummingbird, swallow and owl (though it could change, depending on my experience with the muses in the coming weeks!) I chose to work specifically on this robin after encountering one on a walk through the woods yesterday. Instead of flying away as I approached, it repeatedly hopped a few feet ahead on my path, looked back at me, then hopped forward again. This went on for at least 100 feet down the path before it flew into the underbrush. See more

I sent out another couple of wholesale orders today.. Wild Birds Unlimited in Grass Valley, CA, and this one to Mountain Star Gallery, in Fancy Gap, Virginia. It's kinda nice knowing I literally have thousands of pieces of jewelry in people's collections all over the US. <3

I'm shipping out an order to Newberry Gift Shop in Alliance, Nebraska today. (mostly heart pendants, but also some round pendants and earrings). Always happy to get a new store!

Every now and then I get a customer who loves my jewelry, but prefers a smaller size. I adapted an earring to make this tiny pendant.
