We finally got to do our very first pour on our new addition yesterday. The first phase will be 100 x 200, with more to follow. I would like to thank everyone at Jack Ball and Associates, Pinnacle Design Consultants, The LaRose Group, Edelman Engineering, and Crider Brothers for all the work they have put in to get us to this point. This is the first addition to Doing Steel I have been directly involved in. Seeing all the work it takes gives me a better appreciation for of all the hard work the General Contractors and Construction Management companies we work with have to go through!
Take a look at our new pipe bender, making rails the easy way. This is a single line rail for a set of concrete steps.
Doing Steel would like to showcase the Hannibal Regional Healthcare System Phase 3 package . This is a project that is being run by The Murray Company of Overland Park, KS. The project is approximately 730 tons of steel, 160 tons of joist and 159,000 sq. feet of deck. This project's design team was Hoefer Wysocki Architecture out of Leawood, KS and Bob D. Campbell & Company, Inc. out of Kansas City, MO. This project is an addition to the existing hospital. Doing Steel appreciates this opportunity to work with The Murray Company and look forward to working with them again.

Doing Steel would like to take this opportunity to thank The Weitz Company who is the construction manager on the improvements to the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida. The first portion of this work to the lobby has been completed and has turned out to be very pleasing to the eye just as intended. We provided just over 100 tons of AESS steel and rolled steel main members in this first phase of improvements. Through all the diligent efforts b...etween Doing Steel and The Weitz Company in coordination with the design team the steel was delivered on time, and erected by Bowman Steel Erectors who was handpicked and contracted under and by Doing Steel. According to Steve Provines, Project Executive with The Weitz Company said the steel fit like a glove. The projects design team consisted of Leo A. Daily Architects, and Thorton Tomasetti Engineering. Doing Steel is proud to have been of service to The Weitz Company and Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on this initial phase of their expansion. We have started working on another phase and look forward to continuing to service and assist the entire team in achieving the complete vision that they have in the works for this beautiful and state of the art performing arts facility for all to enjoy. Doing Steel would like to thank Nabholz Construction Company who was the construction manager on the Capital City High School in Jefferson City, Missouri. The new high school is well under construction with close to 260,000 square feet of floor space. We provided approximately 1,350 tons of structural steel, and carried 220 tons of steel joists and 2,500 squares of steel floor and roof deck. The project design team is ACI Boland Architects and DLR Group Engineering. Doing Steel combined forces with AH Erectors of Harrisburg, MO to provide a complete package. Through careful sequencing and communication with all parties, we were able to ship and erect steel at the earliest possibility and continue with deliveries that kept the project moving forward with no delays.

As a proud alumnus of the University of Missouri, I would like to showcase the UMC State Historical Society Building that is currently being erected. This is a project that we had to competitively bid. We ended up the low bidder with River City Construction with a furnish only package, and erection was awarded to A&H. With team work from all parties this job is going up very well. As you can see in the picture the site is quite small and took a lot or coordination. We look forward to finishing this strong and doing more work with River City Construction, the University and A&H.
Doing Steel would like to thank Ron Callahan and Ultimate Thermal for sending us the drone video below. This is of the Greater Omaha Packing Facility we are doing with them in Omaha NE. It is approximately 600 tons of steel plus joist and deck. Shane Swahn the superintendent has been a great help by keeping in contact with our PM to make sure we delivered what was needed and did not overload their site.
We at Doing Steel hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! May 2018 be a successful year for all of our customers and vendors.
Just want to show off the Babcock Ranch Wellness Center that we did with DeAngelis Diamond Construction in Punta Gorda, FL.
Here are some plate weldments that we are doing for one of our good customers!
Updated our cover photo, this shows our new bays and added coverage over our crane ways.
