Which of these beauties lives in your at-home bar?

Today's lesson: Whiskey 101. The word "Whiskey" comes from the Gaelic word for "water of life", and we couldn't agree more. Our whiskey has its humble beginnings with corn, oats, wheat, and malted barley, fermented for 3-5 days. Unaged whiskey tastes similar to silver tequila, but after a long rest in Missouri White Oak barrels, the sweet and smoky flavor we love develops. Test your palette by trying our white whiskey and our aged whiskey and see if you can taste the flavor from the toasted and charred barrels.

Becoming a gin genius is no easy feat. Gin gets its flavor from a complex bouquet of botanicals, unique to every bottle. Our gin has juniper, orris, angelica, licorice root, cardamom, cinnamon, clove, coriander, black pepper, hawthorn berries, pears, and cucumbers. Other blends may include cassia, lemon peel, or basil. In order for a gin to truly be a gin, it MUST include juniper, but the rest is up to the distiller. Gin hasn't always been a bar cart essential. It used to be used for medicinal purposes! The gin and tonic used to be a treatment for malaria while gin and lime was popular for preventing scurvy. Nowadays, DogMaster prescribes gin as a cure for a long week.

It’s National Boss’s Day, and if it wasn’t for this guy’s crazy idea to open a distillery, our DogMaster team would not exist! Cheers to the guy that love and appreciates his team, and knows they are a big part of DMD’s success!
