Elephant & Castle's 12th Annual Lucky 13 - Driven by Innova Players’ Meeting Welcome to the 12th Annual Lucky 13! As always, we’d like to start off by thanking our sponsors. Everyone needs to check in at the west building. We will not be using the main building this year. Also, the PDGA is requiring a signed waiver stating we acknowledge the increased risk of COVID-19 by playing in this tournament. Since you all signed up online, you've already signed that waiver. Regarding COVID-19, please maintain social distancing at all times before, during, and after the tournament. During check-in, please form three lines, and keep at least 6 feet apart in those lines. Three people at a time will be allowed to check in. After the tournament, amateur players receiving a payout will need to form three lines, as three people will be allowed in the trailer at any one time. Following Republic's guidelines, we will not be able to allow caddies or spectators at this tournament. We apologize for any inconvenience. Round 1 tees off at 9. Scores for this tournament will be kept at pdga.com/score. The code is L13. Round 1 player course and hole assignments will be posted shortly after registration closes Friday night at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/44486. The staff will automatically receive the scores at tournament central. When round one is finished, pizza will be delivered to the course. Please limit yourself to 3 pieces until everyone has had a chance to eat. Round 2 SHOULD start at 1, but may change based on last card. There will be an announcement by DGM staff, and round 2 assignments will be posted on the PDGA page. Once the second round has finished, the final EDGE raffle of the year will be held on the back patio by hole 15. Rules for the course are listed below. Innova CTP is hole 15. Trilogy-only CTP is hole 17. If there is any question about any throws or lies, try to make a group decision. If no decision can be made, play a provisional. When possible, consult with the course TD to determine the correct answer.

The 9th Annual Marshall Open Wrap Up To say that 2020 has been crazy is definitely an understatement. We went from playing tourneys, to a complete stop, and back to doubling up as many events as we can squeeze in. Disc Golf is booming and it’s awesome to be a part of the growth. This past Saturday, the Marshall Open destroyed it’s old record of 88 players, with 135! The 47 more players equalled the total number of players from last year’s attendance! In a year where we lost... and recognized an incredible man and fellow discgolfer, I’m thinking Jerry Scott looked down and was proud! On behalf of the family and the club, thank you all for coming out and making this year a special and record breaking event! The day was definitely colder than most of us have been used to. The day started at 39 and never warmed up past 45. Not ideal conditions, but all are thankful the rains held off. The courses were in great shape with a few minor changes. The Indian Foothills courses have always been a favorite, despite how tough and grueling they are both physically and mentally. Because of the huge turn out we split the field into an A and B pool with the A pool starting on the south and switching in the afternoon. There were 4 players on nearly every hole. Despite the tough courses we were able to finish up the round by 1:00 in time to grab lunch (provided by the local Rotary Club). We were then able to get back out and start the next round by 2:00. The 2:00 start time proved to be a perfect time to have all players done well before dark. Hats off to both the Rotary Club for their great job on having food ready and Michael Cory & Kevin Carder for getting the scores and hole assignments in place for the second round so quickly! There were 11 divisions this year. Worth noting, there were 6 women and 3 Juniors in attendance. It’s always nice to see both out on tough courses battling it out! Another highlight was Andrew Preznell’s 44 second round. He destroyed the courses shooting a total of -19 overall. It would have been cool to see. To him and all the other winners, congratulations! Again, to all of you who came out and smashed the attendance record, thank you and congratulations on being a part of it! The 12th Annual DGM Finale A Salute to Veterans Register Here: https://www.discgolfscene.com//The_12th_Annual_DG/register It’s hard to believe that this crazy 2020 year is drawing close to an end. This year’s season Finale will be in Calico Rock, Arkansas on the Pirates Ridge Disc Golf Course hosted one large part by the Luster Family. Some of you went last year to the Encore which was held at the Pirate Ridge in 2019. This course is incredibly fun and challenging. I beli...eve this course will be a perfect to end the tour on. This year, as the title implies, we will be remembering and thanking our veterans that play our sport, and we will also be helping the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) with our raffle proceeds. As always, there will be a huge raffle including a custom Innova Discatcher Pro Target for the big ticket item. This is also the last chance that there will be to get entered into the Innova and Dynamic Discs CTP basket give-away. Simply win either or both CTP’s and you are entered. There will be at least 3 baskets given away along with a slew of other things. This year the players pack will be a custom disc from Innova and a personalize custom wooden mini (for those who register early). Pictured are two examples of what you may have done: Name & PDGA # or Nick Name & PDGA #. I can’t wait to get mine. When you register please type in what you want printed on your mini. The 1st Hallowed Trails Open sponsored by Disc Mania is coming soon on Halloween Day. This will be the last stop before the 12th Annual DGM Finale A Salute to Veterans at Calico Rock, AR. Teddy Blair and Elizabeth Folsom-Blair are excited about getting tournaments going at trails and I am happy that they have chosen to team with DGM for the first of hopefully many more. The flyer, alternate 18, custom discs and the stainless steel - lazer engraved trophies are all pictured.... We will be playing one round on the normal 18 and one on the alternate do to time restrictions (day light). I have received many messages asking about discs to purchase with this sweet logo that Parker Asay of Fossa Disc Golf did. There will be a limited number for sale at both my mobile store and at the Branson Trails shop. There are two models available: The C Line PDX and the Evolution Link. Don’t forget that this tournament is capped at 72, so don’t get left out on Halloween. Sign up as soon as you can. The 1st Hallowed Trails Open will be October 31st, Halloween Day. We will be playing on the epic Branson Trails Disc Golf Course. Most of you know Branson Trails is under the new ownership of Teddy Blair and Elizabeth Folsom-Blair. Teddy & Liz are very excited to continue running this course and are eager to run tournaments and meet as many of you as possible! The Hallowed Trails Open will be a PDGA sanctioned C tier event. We will be playing the regular course the 1st round ...and a modified 18 second round. The players pack will be a custom disc with Fossa’s own, Parker Asay, putting out an amazing piece of art for the commemorative custom disc. There will also be a limited number of black shirts with glow ink for sale. Registration will open on Disc Golf Scene this Friday at 9:00 a.m. the field will be limited to 72 players. Spread the word and register quickly when you can!

Hanna Hills II Players’ Meeting Welcome to the second Hanna Hills! As always, we’d like to start off by thanking our tournament sponsors: Elephant & Castle Fine Arms & Z Loft Hotel Bar & Grill... Carpool if at all possible. We've expanded the parking lot, but this will be the largest tournament on the property, which we are very excited about. We have also painted some parking lines to help maximize space. If the main parking lot is full, find Vic or Michael, and they will direct you where to park.Directions: From I-44 take exit 153 at Buckhorn and travel south 1.1 miles on MO HWY 17, turn left (southeast) on Hwy NN. Travel 3.6 miles on NN. Enter the course next to the historic Hanna Post Office. Follow the signs marked "Hanna Hills Parking." Everyone needs to check in at the barn.
