Speaking of Danes hunting wild boars. This is a medieval painting.

Danes were originally bred for hunting wild boar, wolves and bears, as well as guarding castles. The tradition of cropping a Dane's ears began as a way to keep the ears up out of the way when the dog went into the attack on a wild boar. Watched a TV show yesterday called Hog Wild. Some folks down in Florida were using Great Danes and a Irish Wolfhound to hunt wild boars that are destroying farms down there. It was glorious watching those Danes do what they were born for. You could tell they were having a wonderful time on the hunt, and they didn't hesitate one bit about pinning those boars down. Interestingly, the female Danes were the most gung-ho about it.

Hrolfr & Meili's handsome son, Zeus!

I've been wanting to get a good Dane size harness for awhile, and all I found that were big enough, were very expensive. I have plans to take Meili for a ride in the race car, with the top off, so I needed to find her a harness.
