For our last service in 2019, the Presbyterian Church of Deepwater held a tribute service for those who helped see us through to the last days. Special plagues made by Gene Cramer were given out to Robert Robbins for serving the congregation as an elder and pastoral duties for the last ten years. His wife, Pamela Robbins was honored as serving a church clerk for last ten years. Wanda Force served as our pianist faithfully for the last nine years. Mary Vandergriff has been a f...aithful church member and elder and has a lifetime of memories to share from childhood to the present. Cyndi Fowler faithfully came and shared in our fellowship and we honor her with our love and devotion. Myrna Wirsig and Jerry Jones were honored for their service as elders and attendance for many but are unable to attend due to their health and weather conditions. Many in our congregation have been unable to attend regularly due to poor health and we pray for their healing. We have been blessed and we thank God for his blessings and faithfulness as we head into the future for the next phase for this church. See more

It was our last Christmas service in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church..Rev. Robert Robbins retold the Christmas story in his message to the people. The sermon title was God’s Greatest Gift with the scripture text from Isaiah 7:14 and Luke 1:26-35. We sang the following Christmas Carols, O Come, All Ye Faithful, It Came Upon A Midnight Clearand Away in the Manger. Wanda Force played the tune of Silver Bells but rewrote the lyrics to the words of Happy Birthday, Jesus that Robert and Pam sang to the congregation. Mary Vandergriff read the scripture as Robert lit the candle of Advent. We invite everyone next week for our last service of the year as we reflect on what the future holds and what God has done in the past! Our worship service starts at 8:30 am

Happy Thanksgiving to the Deepwater Community!
I loved singing from the old church hymn today! Every word seem to bring me closer to God. Now, I feel a song in my heart but the words are lost in my memory but never gone from my heart. I feel blessed and recharged to face another week with God going with me.
Our church doors are open at 8:30 am
It is a great responsibility to shepherd a church so please pray for your pastor.
There is only one body but it has many parts. All of the many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ. We were all baptized by one Holy Spirit. And so we are formed into one body. It did not matter whether we were Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free people. We were all given the same Spirit to drink. So the body is not made up of just one part. It has many parts. You are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 27
It was special to be a part of the Community Church Service under the tent during the Labor Harvest Picnic celebration in Deepwater, MO. Rev.Jim Brack officiate the service and Rev. Aaron Johnson lead the congregation in hymn singing. This is the highlight of my Labor Day activities!
Come out and join us tomorrow to hear a message about friendship and how fellowship is vital to the Christian’s relationship to others to feel love, acceptance and compassion.
As frustrating and painful as waiting can be, our hope is not simply that God would give us what we want but make us stronger as we wait for the perfect timing on the miracles God has provided for us.
