We are all aware of the recent viral outbreak and the declarations made today in response to such. When deciding rather to cancel this event or not, several considerations were made, including the amount of participants that are already here, their regular contact with the public in restaurants and bars, as well as overall impact or change to contact that cancelling the event would have. Each participating property is currently reviewing their sanitizing and cleaning schedule. In most cases, little needs to be done, as we currently have experienced a regular top rating from the health departments’ regular inspections, but you may see more frequent sanitizing of commonly shared surfaces, such as door knobs and bathroom facilities. We would also like to echo the common theme, that if you feel sick and certainly if you are running a fever, take personal responsibility and stay home. To participate in this event is your choice, and if you are not comfortable, then make the choice to sit it out.
