Yesterday we celebrated the end of our second grading block with Career Day. It was such a great way to end another amazing block. It was so fun to see the kids dressed up and hear their reasons as to why they wanted to go into that career. We also wanted to thank our wonderful PTO for surprising our teachers with a delicious breakfast. It was such a blessing! We hope everyone has a restful week off!
Good morning! We wanted to share some photos from Mrs. Baldwin’s K-5 field trip to Rutledge Wilson Farm!

#throwback to our last Spirit Day! This was such a fun day. We loved seeing everyone in their tie-dye! Who else is excited to celebrate the end of another grading block? Remember, our theme is Career Day. For Career Day, we want each student to come to school dressed up like what they want to be when they grow up!... We can’t wait to see everyone on Friday! #dcseagles #dayspringchristianschool #spiritday #twinday #elementaryschool #juniorhigh #highschool #christianeducation #springfieldmo

TEACHER TUESDAY: Dayna Snow Dayna Snow is our 5th grade teacher! This is her second year at DCS. She came to this school when someone from Dayspring Church told her it might be a good opportunity to work at the school. At that time she was looking for a teaching position and found it here. Since then she has grown to love her job here and wouldn’t want another one. Her favorite subject in school was science. Mrs. Snow thinks her students would be surprised to learn she is a... Missouri state certified exterminator. Mrs. Snow would describe herself to be discerning, helpful and a happy person. Mrs. Snow has been married for 22 years and has four children.Of her four children. one is married and the other is engaged. Her other children attend DCS. For Mrs. Snow, a good day at school is Knowing at the end of the day my student’s walk away knowing I love them as well as understand the information that was taught. Her favorite way to teach is to do hands on games and have her students go up to the chalkboard to write. Over lockdown, Mrs. Snow organized her house. Her one piece of advice she would like to give to students is,There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs. Every day is to be taken one step at a time. Skipping steps equals a possible fall. We are so excited Mrs. Snow is back for her second year at DCS! We love having her as a teacher and are extremely thankful for her!

Last week’s Pumpkin Wars was a HUGE success! We raised over $500!! Congratulations to our winner, Mrs. Snow’s 5th grade class with their Pumpkin Spice Latte pumpkin. We are so proud of all of our kiddos and their pumpkins. It was so fun watching each class come to the cafeteria every day and vote for and against pumpkins. It was such a close competition, but we are so incredibly proud of each and everyone of our classes and their amazing pumpkins!
Can you believe tomorrow is Teacher Tuesday? We will be featuring one of our teachers who also happens to be a state certified exterminator. Do you know who we are talking about?
