Dawson Rott's and Dane's

Last night one of the pups presented with a missing toe. It had been torn off. We immediately removed mama and assessed the wound. It looks OK and should heal up. We are unsure if mama stepped on it, or possibly got to rough cleaning her up. Pup is doing OK nursing fine and mama has been placed back with her babies and being observed. She isn't showing signs of stress or anything so we are thinking it was a accident on mama fault

Little foot has sure grown! 5 months old now. Can't wait to see what this girl turns into
