We hope our dance family had a safe and fun Thanksgiving holiday. We want to remind you that the studio continues on fall break through Tuesday, Dec 1. Classes will resume on Wednesday, Dec 2 Hip Hop 4, Advanced Contemporary & Advanced Acro have make up classes tonight. Check you email for details or message us.

FYI - We are OPEN and are having classes Monday & Tuesday of this week. Fall break runs Weds November 25 - Tuesday December 1. Happy Thanksgiving to our dance family's.

Last Thursday, Mrs. Kori Demyan was rocking out Oompa Loompa style with her hip hop classes!! Looks like they had a great time wrapping each other up!

Ballet 3 "Things" are in the building tonight! Had an appearance from Hannah Montana who held an 80's concert, and a hunter looking for her cat all in one class! Very creative costumes coming in this week!

Check out these 2 biketards. The biketard is usually worn by the girls in Acrodance class, but you could easily turn this into a black cat costume for Halloween with simply adding black tights and cat ears. We have these biketards in the following colors & sizes: black - adult small & Grey - a...dult medium. Price on these are $34.50 (plus tax). Congratulations to Miss Brittany! She gave birth to her baby boy, Corbin Ray on August 5, 2020. Corbin came in weighing 8lbs 5oz & 22 1/4in. Miss Brittany & Corbin are doing well!

If your child was enrolled in our 2019 - 2020 dance year and did not get to participate in recital, you can come by the studio and pick up you child's costume(s). Laura is there from 1pm-6pm Monday - Thursday.

So how do you get kids to social distance? You give them their own colorful dance box to dance in. Room 1 is ready for students and we will be working at the studio this week to get the other rooms ready for classes to resume next week. Recital Memories

**Dance Extensions Senior Spotlight** We would like to honor our Senior dancers this week. This week we are honoring Cape Central High School Senior, Kennedy Keys! Kennedy Keys is a 2020 graduate of Cape Central High School. She was a member of the Tiger Dancers for 2 years. Kennedy attended the National Dance Association camp during those years. She was chosen as an All-American nominee and was selected to the team. She also participated in many musical ensembles. These ens...embles included marching band, concert band, jazz band, pep band and wind symphony. Kennedy auditioned, and was selected for the All-District Band for 5 consecutive years. During All-District Solo and Ensemble Contest, she received Superior ratings. She was presented with the William H. Shivelbine music award and an A+ Scholarship. Kennedy plans to attend SEMO in the fall to study Early Childhood Education. See more

Senior Spotlight!!! Dance Extensions of Jackson, Mo would like to honor our Senior dancers this week. Today we are honoring Jackson High School Senior, Sydney McCraw! Sydney McCraw is a 2020 graduate of Jackson High School. Sydney was member of the Spear-It Dancers for 4 years, member of Missouri State Dance Team Association All-State Team, A Honor Roll, Hi-Step, Cool Kids Against Bullying, and completed the A+ Program. She has been dancing at Dance Extensions since she was 3 years old. She has been a member of the Dance Company competition team since she was 9. She has participated in numerous competitions and intensive clinics. She received a Dupree Dance Scholarship in 2015. Sydney plans to attend SEMO in the fall to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

All Zoom class schedules have been sent out through email. If you did not receive one, please email the studio! Can't wait to see everyone on zoom!! We are also sorry to inform you that we will not be having our recital on May 30th. CJHS is not allowing any outside organizations to rent it’s facilities until the fall. This being said, we will be taking some time off after this week to regroup. WE ARE PLANNING ON HAVING A RECITAL! We just aren’t sure about the details. Thi...s has been a whirlwind 6 weeks of filming, uploading, downloading, posting and zooming that we just need a bit of time to stop and think. We are very grateful to those that have supported us through this time. Moving forward we will not forget your dedication to us. Please be on the lookout for an email with further details. We are so looking forward to seeing our students one last time. Hope they can make it to the zoom classes!

Dear Dance Families: We miss all our dancer’s smiling faces and we know you are missing those dance filled evenings. This is a difficult time for everyone and a lot of tough decisions have had to be made. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation. We at Dance Extensions will continue to try to serve our dance families during these difficult times, although it may be in untraditional ways. Our plan is to continue to monitor the situation and keep families... updated every 10-14 days in regards to the plan on re-opening the studio. Please continue to check your email and social media so we can stay connected. As of today, the studio will not be holding in person classes through April 30 per new CDC recommendations. **CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR MORE INFORMATION**

Eventhough students can't come in, your costumes are still arriving!! Ms. Laura has had a shipment of costumes everyday this week! We can't wait to get back to classes!! The show must go on!!

Dance Families: PLEASE SEE YOU EMAIL FOR MORE INFORMATION!! Dance Extensions Studio Families, Let us first say that this has been one of the hardest weeks for us in history! The decisions and challenges facing us all are unreal right now. In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), we feel it is our responsibility and in our best interest to our dancers and community to suspend all classes, starting today Tuesday, March 17, 2020 through Monday, March 30, 2020. We feel we ...need to do this in response to the CDC recommended 15 day ban on unnecessary activities. We will continue to monitor the events and recommendations of our local health department and other governing agencies closely. This was a very tough decision for us to make. We want to make sure everyone is safe, healthy and out of harm's way. During this time away from the studio, we want to keep the kids active in learning their recital routines. Therefore, we ask that you, the parents, download the band app on your phone, tablet or computer and we will send you an invite so that your child can participate in classes virtually. Each teacher will have their own account on the band app and will be posting video instruction for their classes. The post could be exercises, combos or choreography to their dances. We will also be sending, in your email, their recital music for each class. This will also help parents in being able to let the kids burn energy in the evenings and could be a fun family activity. As of right now rehearsal and recital dates will not be affected. If everything goes well in this shut down, we will make up classes the week of spring break and the week of recital.

Gold Need This - Duo - Macy Archer & Emily Dalton - Platinum Because We Can-Can - Group - Gold Rhythm of the Night - Group - Gold Join the Circus - Group - Platinum & 1st Overall Jr. Performance Group Razzle Dazzle - Group - Gold Trashing the Camp - Group - Platinum Betta Watch Yoself - Platinum & 4th Overall Competitive Teen Hip Hop Group We had 5 girls come back from the workshops with a scholarship!! Congratulations to the following for receiving scholarships to Dupree: Delaney Gibson - Received a Full Scholarship Alyvia Hotop, Ava Stowe, Eden Menteer & Haidyn Wormington - all received a 1/2 scholarship Our competition group, "Because We Can-Can" was asked to perform in the pre-game show for the Harlem Globetrotters on Monday (Feb. 3).
