26 hours to Dublin Ireland! https://youtu.be/f9Dd8G50dFQ
This afternoon at Moultonborough Airport, NH. A perfect Curtiss Robin on a perfect Fall day. Both the leaves and the airplane were at "peak"performance. "W...rong Way" Corrigan made a flight to Ireland in one of these..after the U.S. Federal government told him he couldn't do that. Times haven't changed all that much since... Individual freedoms will survive Obama....just as they have in the past See more
No tenía radio, y mucho menos GPS. See more
#TBT to Jimmie Mattern posing with a bear cub at San Angelo’s Municipal Airport in 1932. Mattern was a well-respected pilot who called San Angelo home. He first... caught the bug for flying at the age of 13, when he paid $2.50 to go up in a rickety old ship. He went on to work as a pilot for Cromwell Airline, flying out of the San Angelo Municipal Airport. He later joined the US Army Air Corp, and in the 1930s, his career as a daredevil aviator took off. He raced planes, worked as a Hollywood stunt flyer, and attempted to break two round-the-world flight records. After retirement, he became a large supporter of the space program. Neil Armstrong even carried Mattern’s pilots license with him to the moon! See more
