#tinytoothtiptuesday This patient has a classic example of "baby bottle tooth decay." This type of cavity occurs on the upper baby incisors and is usually caused by juice or chocolate milk to bed at night. The white arrow shows the initial chalky "demineralized" area of the cavity, and the black arrow is the more advanced mushy decay. This type of decay is difficult to fix because these teeth are so small, and often the child is very young and not able to cooperate for traditional treatment. I fix most of these teeth under sedation with white fillings and white crowns. The tooth in red is beyond repair. This can all be avoided by limiting sugary drinks, especially at bed time!

First day is in the books! Such an amazing feeling, and I’m so proud of our team. Time to take a breath and start fixing some teeth!

We had a great day practicing on some test kiddos to make sure everything was up and running correctly. There may be a few growing pains, but we are ready to rock for our grand opening on Monday!
