Meal plan like a PRO with this tip! Overwhelmed by options and don’t know what to cook? Keep a favorite meal binder. Print out or photocopy your favorite recipes and put them into plastic sheet covers in your binder. Use tabs to create organization. This binder is a great way to simplify decision-making when it comes to making healthy and delicious meals.

CFN member, Katherine G., has been with us for a little over 3 years now and we have her then-boyfriend now-husband (and also CFN member) to thank for encouraging her to give CrossFit a try years ago. Katherine grew up playing sports, participating in intramural sports in college and has been a member of several different gyms throughout her years before landing at CFN. She admits nothing has stuck with her like CrossFit Northland. Katherine feels stronger and more in shape ...now than she ever has. Even with all of her prior sports and activity experience, Katherine has learned to do new things since starting CrossFit. We have enjoyed watching Katherine grow as an athlete at CrossFit Northland (doing handstand holds, lifting heavy weights, participating in competitions, working on strict pull-ups) and as a person outside of the gym (getting married, being a great mama, and now continuing her fitness through her current pregnancy). We are extremely proud and humbled that Katherine looks forward to her time at the gym each day. We, too, look forward to our hour with you, Katherine. Whether out of stress, anxiety, sadness, boredom, or grief, it's understandable why we turn to food for comfort. Food offers a very temporary solution to our suffering. What's more, most people who experience emotional eating feel trapped and guilty afterward, which just perpetuates the behavior. Let's hear it for CFN member, Erica R., on this #transformationtuesday. Erica has been with us for just over 5 short months and is absolutely crushing it! Erica recently completed a goal review session with one of our CFN coaches and walked away with some impressive results. Erica has lost 5.3% body fat and a total of 12.6 lbs. of fat. She also has has an increase of 2.4 lbs of muscle. Erica, we are so proud of you. Keep up the great work! We can't wait to see all that you'll have to celebrate at your next goal review.

We're giving a huge #membermonday shout out to some incredibly talented athletes of ours that competed in the 816 Halloween Throwdown this weekend. These athletes completed 5 grueling workouts throughout the day with 4 of our teams placing. And of course, our awesome CFN community showed up to cheer on and support their fellow gym pals.
