PLANS FOR BEE DISTRIBUTION DURING SOCIAL DISTANCING. Beekeeping, being agriculture, is exempt from most pandemic restrictions. To maintain social distancing, we’ll be allowing only 5 customers at a time in our (small) store. If there’s anything you need or want, we request you email or call in orders ahead of time. Our store is well stocked and products can be seen at www.chbeekeeping.com. Bees will be distributed outside. If a large group is waiting, please remain in your v...ehicle until the line decreases. For those at high risk, we advise finding someone else to pick up your bees (see below) or contacting us ahead of time so you can stay in your car. BEE RIDE SHARE If You Would Like to Help Your Fellow Beekeepers. Everyone with an order should have received an email update. LOAD 1 is 3 lb. packages and expected April 10th. LOAD 2 is NUCs (Russian, Carniolan, and a few Italians) and expected April 16th. LOAD 3 is Italian NUCS, expected between April 20th and 26th. LOAD 4 is NUCs (Russian, Carniolan, and a few Italians) and is expected April 30th. If you didn’t receive an email, please call at (660) 214-0132. If you need someone to pick up your bees or are willing to pick up someone’s, please post a comment with your town and load number. If you’re having someone pick up your bees, please contact us to give them authorization.

Last chance to attend a comprehensive day-long beginners's class in our part of Missouri this year.

It is not too late to sign up for a class. We highly recommend that all new beekeepers at a minimum take a full day beginning beekeeping course . A two to four hour course is not nearly enough time to cover what you need to get started. If you are in the Kansas City area, the attached photo contains information on a class being put on by the Midwestern Beekeepers Association in Independence.
