Hillcrest Baptist Church, Lebanon, MO 12m I wanted to update all the prayer warriors out there on Micah Veanes: He is now staying in the hotel with Dave and Peggy! They had to move to a new hotel that was handicapped accessible. He is working hard in physical therapy each day and today he stood for 30 seconds unassisted! He walks with a stand up walker and can take a few steps before getting exhausted. He still has much pain from the neuropathy in his feet, but thankf...ully, he is slowly but steadily making progress! His attitude continues to be great and the nurses and therapists love his sense of humor! He is eating well and becoming more independent each day. Please pray that he will continue to gain strength and coordination in physical therapy, and pray for wisdom & discernment for the doctors as they are still trying to determine the best way to add girth to his right arm before fitting the prosthesis. Thanks for all the prayers! See more

This comes from our Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief ministry. Barb GainesMissouri Baptist Disaster Relief Our Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief teams are all volunteers and we have to provide our own equipment. We have been working over a month on the Southend in St. Joe, while others are heading to Cedar Rapids or Louisiana. So, the following was devastating news for our St. Joe Association volunteers. From Roger Brumley, our director of missions - The SJBA DR Mud Out Traile...r, the SJBA DR Chain Saw Trailer, and the SJBA Game Trailer was broken into last week. Thieves took all the Power Equipment from the DR Trailers (2 Power Washers, Circular Saw, Drill/Driver, Reciprocating Saw, Multi Tool Saw, 5 Chain Saws, Pole Saw, 2 Generators, Cut Sawplus many accessories. They also took one of our Large Bounce Houses and our small bounce house (Including Fans). After taking an inventory it looks like about $12,000 in loses. See more
