We got our first egg from our new chickens today!
The gardens are starting to produce! Today we had our first BLT of the season. We have harvested lots of squash, cucumbers and peppers. We harvested 8 tomatoes and 3 green beans last night. The green beans made a good snack.
Making jam is so comforting.
I put in 70 heirloom tomato plants this year. I already have green tomatoes! I can’t wait for them to ripen.
Life and death on the farm. I lost ten of my chicks. 4 to a dog and 6 to a raccoon. I was down to 7 and so bummed I bought 5 pullets. They arrived! Now I have a dozen.
