Last Sunday we asked the question "Why did God create us? and the answer to that was "God created us to worship Him by bearing His image for the world." What does it mean to bear the image of God? Do you think everyone feels like the world is as good as it can actually be? Probably not. Everyone has, at some point, seen things that they would say is wrong. When we humans hurt others, when we're selfish and cruel, it's hard to believe that we look like anything like God. Thinking about people being the image of God isn't easy, but it is one of the core ideas in Scripture. When we read in the Bible about who we are as human beings, it connects the question "Why did God create us?" with what we are what God wants us to do. We are going to be trying a series plan that offers biblically sound answers to 70 common questions that teens have about the Bible. This is conversationally based and relationally driven, and we are hoping for more meaningful discussions in our student ministry.
