THIS IS A SCAM!! The Water District office just received a call from a customer who "paid" their bill through this website. However, we have NOT received this customer's payment through this company. Even though it has our name (as we circled it in red) we DO NOT receive payments from this company. PLEASE use the District web address provided on our bills (https://cpwsd2ljs.epayub.com) to ensure payments make it to your account. At this time we also accept payments through our office night deposit box, and over the phone (660-584-2344) using your credit/debit card or bank checking account.

On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, Marshall Municipal Utilities will begin a Free Chlorine Conversion at the water treatment plant. During this time, they will cease feeding ammonia and feed only chlorine to disinfect the water. Customers in Saline County may notice a different taste and smell over the next 4-6 weeks and the district operations staff will be in the service area flushing. This process is routine and commonly done to maintain the distribution system. ... During this time, you do not need to do anything different unless you are a dialysis patient, then please contact your health care physician with any questions. While we are flushing in your area, you may want to avoid washing light or white clothing. If you have any questions, please contact the district office at 660-584-2344.

We are excited to announce that we are again Co-Sponsoring the Prescription Drug Take Back Event with the Higginsville Police Department! Things will look a bit different on the 24th, to ensure everyone stays safe. We will not touch your sacks, boxes, or bottles. There will be signs directing you to enter the north drive, dispose of your medications in the box, and exit through the west drive of the parking lot to keep traffic safely moving. We look forward to seeing everyone!!

Update: October 5, 2020. A large portion inside of the tank's bowl has been sandblasted down to bare metal and primer applied to those areas. Today, we are starting to see bare metal on the exterior of the tank. See the photos below. In March of 2020, your PWSD No. 2 Board of Directors with the assistance of Bartlett & West Engineers out of Jefferson City, Mo. requested bids to complete improvements on the 150,000 gallon District water tower located south of Lexington. T...wo bids were received with the low bid awarded to Viking Painting, LLC in the amount of $242,750. Viking Painting, LLC crews arrived on sight this morning. We are excited to see this project get underway! The contract calls for a completion date of October 31, 2020. We will post pictures as each phase is completed. Improvements will include minor repairs, installation of a Tideflex water mixing system, sandblasting, and repaint of the interior and exterior surfaces. This will be the first time the tower has been repainted since it was constructed by Caldwell Tanks in 1997.
