Steam boiler for the Erie City steam engine at Dick's Mill. Would be in a vertical position when in place and operating.
Erie City steam engine. When constructed, Dick's Mill operated on steam - from a steam engine salvaged from a ship wreck on the Missouri River. Steam was replaced by a gas-powered engine around the end of the 19th century. Jim Martin purchased this Erie City steam engine and placed it in the engine room of the mill in the early 2000's.
