Concord Elementary students received a surprise visit from Mr. Darrion Cockrell, Crestwood Elementary's PE teacher and the 2021 Missouri State teacher of the Year. Last spring Mr. DC receieved a $15,000 grant for PE equipment from Chance the Rapper (see video below). He decided to model kindness and sharing today for our students by donating $1,000 to each Lindbergh Elementary School for their PE department. Thank you Mr. DC~you are AMAZING! We are so excited to welcome back our in-person learners to full-time and hope to see our ARC students back very soon! It was an absolute joy to see kiddos reunited and together again for the first time since spring break 2020. The school was finally buzzing with many happy students!

Keep in mind, most houses will likely have lights as part of the decor, so after the sun goes down is the best time to tour. Hello Concord Families! ***UPDATE: There are six more days to decorate the outside of your home for our Halloween House Tours. While the upcoming forecast looks a bit dreary, there appears to be some clear days next week to drive around the area and "tour" . We pushed decorating/driving a day, see new dates below.*** The PTG misses your faces! We have put together a fun event for you this Halloween that will enable us to come together as a Concord family ~ Concord Hallow...een House Tours! There are TWO ways to participate in this event! 1. Families can choose to decorate the OUTSIDE of their house for Concord families to drive by and view. AND/OR 2. Families can choose to drive around and view the participating houses. Families that drive around will be able to pick their favorite Halloween House! Prizes will be given to the TOP 3 favorite Halloween Houses! More information on selecting your favorite house and the list of participating Concord houses will be sent out just prior to the House Tour start date. Families that are decorating will need to have OUTSIDE decorations up and ready to view by Sunday evening, October 25th. Halloween House Tours drive-by voting will run from Monday, October 26th through Saturday, October 31st. We ask that the decorating families have their decorations and/or lights on throughout the tour dates as much as possible. The TOP 3 will be announced on Mon, Nov. 2. Due to the current pandemic and in order to follow social distancing guidelines, we ask that Concord families remain in their cars while on tours. No candy can be exchanged.
