GET TO KNOW OUR STAFF Employee of the week: KAYLA! Kayla was born and raised in Huntsville, MO. She currently lives in Huntsville with Kevin, and two precious boys, Kiptyn (10) and Kash (8). Kayla graduated with her masters of Science-Nursing in 2012 from the University Of Missouri. Kevin and Kayla recently became foster parents, and are loving it so far! In her spare time, Kayla enjoys spending her time with her kids and watching them play sports and she loves doing crafts.... Kayla also enjoys traveling with her family, mostly to the beach! Kayla has been our Nurse Practitioner at CoMO Cubs since October of 2017. She is also the provider in our Moberly, MO clinic. There is a great need for pediatric care in rural areas, and Kayla is enjoying seeing new patients there everyday! Her favorite part of working at CoMO Cubs, is being there for parents when they have questions or concerns regarding their children and she loves watching kiddos grow in-between appointments! Kayla currently works in Moberly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Columbia on Thursdays and Fridays. We recently moved to a new location in Moberly, in the MRMC professional arts building. GET TO KNOW OUR STAFF! Employee of the week: HEATHER Heather and her husband Jeremy live in Paris, MO. They have four children! Andrew (21), currently works in management. Christine (20), attends school at UMKC. Makayla (16), is a very busy high schooler and involved in many extracurricular actives. Ryder (4), attends preschool and is a very sweet and busy boy! When she is not working, Heather enjoys helping on her family farm, spending time with family and friends, and go...ing camping! Heather went to nursing school in Hannibal, MO. She has been with CoMO Cubs for four years, but actually worked with Dr. Wilson when he was a provider in Moberly! Heather is Dr. Brockman's nurse. She loves being able to work in an office that treats patients like family, and finds it rewarding that she is able to help families with any questions or concerns they may have!

Took a week off but we are back at it! GET TO KNOW OUR STAFF! Employee of the week: DR. TINA BROCKMAN ... Dr. Brockman has been with CoMO Cubs since January of 2016. She lives in Columbia with her husband John and their three minis, Jack (11), Ella (9), and Lucy (5). They also have an adorable puppy named Toby! In her free time, Dr. Brockman likes spending time with her family, quilting, eating Thai food, and traveling! Dr. Brockman enjoys talking with and spending time with all of her patients and families! Her favorite things about being a pediatrician at CoMO Cubs are, watching her patients grow, answering questions about development, and supporting families through struggles. She currently works in the office two days out of the week, Mondays and Tuesdays, and is accepting new patients!

Our Nurse Practitioner Kayla Payton, is available at the new location on Tuesday's from 8:00am to 4:30pm and Wednesday's from 8:00am to 12:00pm. GET TO KNOW OUR STAFF! Employee of the week: MARISSA Marissa was raised in St. Louis, MO and graduated from Webster Groves High School. After graduating high school Marissa continued her education at Mizzou. Before coming to CoMO Cubs, she was a preschool teacher. Marissa currently lives in Columbia, MO with her boyfriend Trey and their adorable little pups Magnolia and Bandit. Marissa loves being a dog mom and would have 10 if she could! In her free time, she loves to snug...gle on the couch with her dogs and loves the occasional glass of red wine. When time allows, she enjoys going to St. Louis to visit her family. Marissa has been our front receptionist for almost 2 years! She is the first smiling face you see when you come into the office and she is always excited to see how much each patient has grown! She loves giving the kiddos tokens, so they can get their well earned prizes! If you ever need your little baby held, Marissa ALWAYS has her arms open for snuggles!

GET TO KNOW OUR STAFF DR. WILSON! Dr. Wilson is the founder/owner of CoMO Cubs Pediatrics. He started CoMO Cubs Pediatrics in April of 2013 and it has been growing since! Dr. Wilson lives in Columbia with his wife Megan and their four adorable children, Travis (10), Everett (7), Kate (4) and Becca (2). In his free time, Dr. Wilson likes to travel and spend time with his family. ... Dr. Wilson loves owning his own practice, and his goal has always been to provide an environment where patients and families feel welcomed and familiar. Dr. Wilson makes it his mission for our patients to NEVER feel like a number! He has recently started accepting new patients again, and is looking forward to getting to know each and every new family!

GET YOUR CHILD'S FLU-VACCINE! We have a flu-vaccine clinic scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2020. We will be running the clinic from 8:00am to 2:00pm at our Columbia location. Any of our patients are welcome! Either call our office to schedule a time slot, or just swing by! GET TO KNOW OUR STAFF Employee: AMANDA Newest to the team, Nurse Amanda! Amanda was raised in Blackwater, MO and currently lives in Pilot Grove, MO. She has an adorable daughter named Scarlet who is almost two years old. Amanda and her husband Shane are also expecting their second child on Valentine's Day! Amanda went to Columbia College, where she received her degree in Nursing. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her friends and family. She also loves doing a...rts and crafts with Scarlet. Amanda has worked at CoMO Cubs since March 2020. She is the nurse for Dr. Wilson and does a GREAT job keeping up with his fast paced clinic! Amanda's favorite part of being Dr. Wilson's nurse is getting to see how much the babies have have grown between each appointment. She is always available if you have a medical question about your child! So, If you ever have any questions or concerns about your child please feel free to call and ask for Amanda!

GET TO KNOW OUR STAFF Employee of the week: KATIE Katie is the nurse for our practitioner Kayla. She works at our Columbia AND Moberly location. We have been lucky to have Katie in our office for two years! ... Katie was raised in Moberly, MO. After graduating from high school, Katie went to MACC where she received her associates degree with an emphasis in Elementary Education. She then went on to nursing school to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN). Katie was her nursing class president and was also active in ASTRA. In her free time, Katie loves to spend time with her 4 year old daughter Avalon. She also loves to travel, experience new things, and spread positivity!

GET TO KNOW OUR STAFF Employee of the week: KRISTINA Kristina was born and raised in Hallsville, MO. She currently lives in Centralia, MO with her fiancé and two adorable boys; Jackson (4) and Jameson (4 months). She graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelors in General Studies and a Minor in Business. When Kristina is not planning her wedding, she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family and kids. She also enjoys watching Netflix, binging on the Bachelo...r/Bachelorette, and laughing at lame dad jokes (especially Megan's)! Kristina has been at CoMO Cubs for 3 years and is our Office Manager. She also sits at check-out and loves giving patients their well earned prizes at the end of each visit! Her favorite thing to do at work is getting to talk with all the families that come in! If you ever just want to talk or talk about Clare's season of the Bachelorette, Kristina is your girl!

GET TO KNOW OUR STAFF!! Employee of the week: MEGAN Megan is our Business/Billing Manager. She was born and raised in Columbia, MO and graduated from Hickman High School. Megan went to Metro Business College where she got her degree in Medical Billing and Coding. She now lives in Hallsville, MO with her 2 year old lab, Delta. She is a dog mom to the core! Megan loves to spend her free time with family and close friends, but mainly enjoys spending time with her cousin Grant ...and niece Allie. Outside of that, Megan likes to watch Netflix and attend country concerts. She also likes to color (yes, color), take naps, and crack hilarious dad jokes. Megan has been with CoMO Cubs since Dr. Wilson’s start in 2013. She took an 18 month hiatus, but missed us so much she decided to come back in 2019. Megan’s job duties include: all accounts receivable, assisting patients with payments and statement questions, and working with insurance companies. Please never hesitate to call Megan if any billing or insurance questions arise. She is always willing to help!

We have a flu-vaccine clinic scheduled for this Friday October 9th. Any of our patients are welcome to come by anytime between 8:30-4:30. Either schedule a time slot, or just swing by! If Friday does not work you can always schedule a time to get the flu vaccine any other date this month. Just call us to schedule at 573-443-0937.

We are expanding our use of video telehealth here in clinic. There are certainly things we need to see in-person, but we are also trying to keep people from unnecessarily coming in if we can! If you would like to schedule, just call our main office number during office hours (573-443-0937), or call the Boone Hospital Operator if it is after-hours (573-815-8000).
