Tomorrow is the last day to submit your nomination for Small Business of the Year 2021! This award is an annual honor given to an outstanding small business. Previous winners have included Ragtag Cinema, COMO Magazine, Boone County Lumber, Logboat Brewing Company, and Job Point!

After weeks of collaboration with the City, the Chamber was grateful to see a step forward on the road to reopening last week. Both the City, the Chamber, and our bars and restaurants want to continue this collaboration. Thank you KRCG 13 for asking us about it!

The Chamber is saddened to hear of the recent passing of Justin Gay with Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc.. Justin's volunteerism made a significant impact throughout Columbia and within the Chamber through his involvement with our Transportation & Infrasture Committee, Board of Directors, and as a member of our initial Workforce Development Action Committee. Our entire business community will miss his presence. Our thoughts are with his family and the Emery Sapp & Sons family at this time.

Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services has added new options to its quarantine protocol based on CDC guidance published December 2. Please, share this information with family, friends, and co-workers.

Today, Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services Director Stephanie Browning issued an additional extension of Public Health Orders 2020-16 and 2020-16(c).

Reminder for local businesses with 49 or fewer employees to apply to City of Columbia, Mo. Government's CARES Act Small Business Funding portal. The application portal closes at the end of the day tomorrow!
