March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month.

The Governor’s office has proposed a reduction of state monies to VR which would result in a loss of $3.7 million of federal funding which directly supports job... seekers with disabilities. The six legislators below serve on the House Appropriate Committee on Education and are the most important to contact right now. If you provide services in their districts, we ask you to please make an appointment for ten minutes by phone with him or her and let them know that job seekers with disabilities need this money! The restrooms are installed. We are still needing the landscaping and the splash pad! We are getting so close. We are also working on releasing the Request for ...Proposals to have the .91 mile paved walking trail constructed. Right now the park is still a construction site so we respectfully request that people not trespass. We will have an announcement when it is open to the public. Lincoln County Coordinates Mass Vaccination with Missouri National Guard Lincoln County, MO- The health department will have approximately 2,000 doses of the Pf...izer vaccine to make available to individuals in Phases 1A, Phase 1B-Tier 1, and Phase 1B-Tier 2. These vaccines will be given out at a mass vaccination event with the Missouri National Guard on Friday, January 29. Appointments are REQUIRED for this event. At this time, the health department will ONLY be making appointments by calling people who signed up on our pre-registration list. If there is no answer, we will continue to the next person on the list. Please DO NOT call us for an appointment. If your name is already on our pre-registration, you do not need to take further action. We will be contacting individuals to make appointments. Because there is a limited amount of vaccine available, we will not be able to vaccinate everyone on our pre-registration list at this time. If you already have an appointment somewhere else, please DO NOT take an appointment with this event. We hope to continue to receive vaccine and do request vaccine regularly, but unfortunately the supply continues to be limited at this time.
