Today, we remember and honor the more than 2,400 American lives lost, along with the 1,000 wounded, during the surprise attack of Pearl Harbor. On Sunday, Decem...ber 7th, 1941, U.S. naval base Pearl Harbor suffered a surprise attack at the hands of Japanese forces. Just before 8:00 a.m., hundreds of fighter planes flew upon the base, damaging and destroying nearly 20 American vessels and over 300 airplanes. May we never forget the brave men, women, and children whose lives were lost during the attack. See more
