CM & C Design and Development, LLC is established as a Rapid Acquisition, Specialty Needs manufacturing asset and resource entity. CM & C is a fully licensed firearms manufacturer through BATF and carries DoD credentials along with Joint Certification from DLA for sensitive data. CM & C has designed the 17mm munitions along with the 17mm Long Range Shotgun for civilian use. The 17mm shot shell along with the 17mm Shotgun will be the first major innovation in shot gunning... in the last century. The 17mm shotgun and munitions have been approved for production from BATF and is designed to fire a maximum 750g load at 2400 fps. The design is for a 3 shot and 5 shot semi-automatic shotgun. This round produces 10,000 ft/lbs of muzzle energy. The recoil is managed by CM & C’s Recoil Reduction System which reduces the felt recoil to the same level as firing a 3 magnum standard shotgun. Further designs of the 17mm munitions and the 17mm HBR (Heavy Battle Rifle, 21lbs. with a loaded 20 round magazine) have been submitted for consideration by the military. See more

CM & C has received the criteria from BATF - Firearms Technology Branch to proceed with the commercial development and manufacture of the 17mm as a long range shotgun firing 19 #1 buckshot. This is a major hurdle to accomplish in the overall design of the munitions and the weapons to fire it.

Designs and technical data were submitted to the Firearms Technology Branch of BATF 12 weeks ago for review and disposition. The MAcq 12 Tactical/Defense Shotgun and the 17mm munitions are the pending designs. The 17mm is being addressed to begin initial production as a long range shotshell holding 19 #1 Buckshot. The final disposition is complete and pending sign off on the 17mm while the MAcq 12 is still in legal review. This has been a long but required step to bring everything to the next level. Hopefully I can have the final dispositions in hand within the next several weeks so the next phase toward production can begin.
