In Spanish, 6th graders are learning about the family tree from their teacher Mrs. Cronhardt. Students pictured are working on making their own family tree in class on large pieces of paper. Doing this helped them to learn the names of all the members in their family and how they were related to them.

The fourth grade class is reading Pilgrims Progress. The reading of this book not only helps students grasp a better understanding of pronunciations, but gives them insight about the history of our country.

Great fall color for Tuesday's final CCA Varsity Soccer game of the season against Overland Christian, OCS won 2-0.

The 5th graders at CCA are beginning their study of Geometry. The students viewed an image of an airplane to see how perfectly the design initiated flight. Mrs. Wilson talked the students through the idea of shapes, lines, and angles working together to solve common problems. Below are some pictures of them learning.

Recently the physical Science class was studying the states of matter (solids, liquids, gases and plasma). They experimented with different states to conclude the fact that gases are made of particles that are moving very fast, and as they hit the walls of a container the gas particles create pressure. The fun part was getting to see this in action by shooting a tin can 75 feet into the air with a tiny fire cracker exploding and creating gas pressure.

The 7th Grade Science class has been busy preparing their insect boards in class and classifying the species.

The JH Soccer team took 3rd place today in the St Peter Tourney in Marshall, MO. Congrats Patriots!

The second grade class is currently working on their basic math skills. Mrs. Henny’s students are practicing their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division through interaction with their teacher and each other. Mrs. Henny takes advantage of her Promethean board by demonstrating the problems on it so that the students are able to visualize the work.
