Happy New Years. Please have a safe night, and remember don't drink and drive. An Uber or taxi is cheaper than a funeral or DWI.

October is Fire Prevention Month! Here are a few helpful tips that we all should follow: -Every Bedroom should have working alarm - Test alarms monthly - New battery's every six months - Alarms should be in date ( Smoke alarms have a 10 year life.) ... - Know the Sound. Your family should have a plan in case the alarms are sounding. Have a meeting spot outside the home in safe location. If you need assistance with inspecting current alarms, need alarms installed, or have any questions about fire prevention give us a call. Clever Fire District 417- 743-2000 ( non emergency line) Message us on Facebook. Remember if you are having an Emergency DIAL 911

Close Before You Doze. A closed door can slow the spread of fire, reduce toxic smoke levels, improve oxygen levels and decrease temperatures dramatically and that could make a life-saving difference in your home. #FireSafetyTips #FirePrevention #CloseBeforeYouDoze

Fireworks sales at licensed seasonal retailers begin today and continue until July 10th. Through June 19th, the Missouri Division of Fire Safety had issued 1,0...99 permits to seasonal fireworks retailers across the Show-Me State. State Fire Marshal Tim Bean reminds Missourians who choose to use consumer fireworks, should follow these safety tips: Confirm fireworks are legal where you live; purchase fireworks only from licensed retailers. Only use fireworks in a large open space that has been cleared of flammable materials. Always keep young children away from fireworks; if teens are permitted to handle fireworks, they should be closely supervised by an adult; always wear eye protection. Make sure to have a garden hose or a bucket of water nearby in case of a fire. Only light fireworks one at a time; never try to re-light fireworks that have malfunctioned Dispose of fireworks by soaking them in water and leaving them in a trash can. Never shoot fireworks off from a glass jar or container. Never use fireworks while consuming alcohol. Never store fireworks from season to season. An additional safety concern for the 2020 fireworks season is loose-fitting cloth face coverings, being worn by many residents as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Residents need to remember these coverings and use extreme caution when using open-flame devices to light fireworks or when using sparklers. Many of these coverings can easily ignite and cause serious facial burns to the victim.
Prayers for this officer
