Attention Stall Renters: Tomorrow (Saturday, October 10th) will likely be your last chance to purchase fuel this year. I will be available at noon for fuel purchases but won't wait around long if nobody is there. The Harvest Festival is the following weekend and we will NOT be available at all that entire weekend. Jason will be taking a look at the breaker at around 10:00 this morning. It's been reported that the electric is not working on the cove section. Also... Ty will be available at noon today for anyone needing fuel. Exact change or credit card is a must. He will only be around for about 1/2 an hour so please be on time. Thanks!

I will be at the marina at noon today but only for a short amount of time. Stall renters needing fuel should be there at that time. Here's the scoop on winterizations: Jason will be working at the campground very soon and he will be dedicated to that work full-time beginning (no later than) October 15th. Anyone needing winterization needs to let us know by next weekend AND that work will begin on 10/5. Anyone needing winterizations after 10/5 will have to call Jeff Hayes @... (207) 256-7015 to make arrangements. If you plan on using your boat between 10/5 and 10/15, Jeff is who you need to call. Anyone who is ready for their winterization after next weekend can leave a voice message @ (573) 223-7224 or reply to this post directly.

The main walkway (primary steps all the way to the fish cleaning station) will be closed until later tomorrow afternoon due to some staining of the dock. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We should be dry and accessible by Thursday morning for sure. Thanks!

The marina is officially closed. I will be there for the next 4 Saturdays at noon for any of our stall renters who need fuel. If I see nobody at noon needing gas, I'm heading right home.

We are closing down the store today (Sunday, September 20th). We will be at the marina from noon til about 5:00 p.m.. Yesterday was our last day of the season for rentals and we've had a lot of them this Summer. Thanks to all of you for a busy year. Heads up: We are getting a fuel delivery early Friday morning. Jason will move the dock down to the main walkway on Thursday evening. This may block some of you from using your boats from Thursday evening (7 p.m.) until Friday morning (8:00 a.m.). This would only block probably 12 of you in the inside stalls. The fueling up takes place around 5:00 a.m. which means Jason would have to be down there by 3:30 a.m. Friday morning to do it all in one day. If you plan on using y...our boat Thursday night through the butt crack of dawn on Friday morning, please leave me a message with your name and stall number at 573-223-7224. F.Y.I. Our large group cancelled their boat rentals for the 26th which means the 19th will be our last day for boat rentals. We will be at the dock closing up the store on the 20th (Sunday) from about 1:00 p.m. until around 5:00 p.m.. Weather permitting, I will be at the marina on Saturdays at noon for our stall renters who need fuel through October 10th. I would advise those people to be at the dock by noon on those Saturdays because if I see an empty parking lot, I'm he...ading back home. ;) My plan during the week this week is to check in at noon to see if there are any stall renters needing fuel. Again, my advice is to be there at noon because I will not likely hang around if nobody is there. Paul

Wishing Mr. Bill a very happy birthday today. Most people see him as the organized, quiet one who works in the store. I've known this guy for 30+ years and he's truly one of the few people on the planet that can have me in tears from laughing. We're finishing up year 11 working together at the dock and we're both coming back for the 2021 season! Happy birthday, dork!

A quick, "thank you" to all of our guests this past holiday weekend. It was a crazy few days on the lake and we wanted everyone to know that we appreciate your continued business. The garlic bread pizza was a success! It was a bit of a risk ordering 60 of them right before the end of the season but I think we sold 2/3 of them over the weekend. :D We ran a couple of dock boys short due to quarantines but managed pretty well. ... Hard to believe that Bill and I are closing out our 11th year here at the dock. We're both committed to 2021 so we hope to see everyone next year! Thanks again to everyone who stopped by. <3 Paul

Phones are a complete mess again right before the holiday weekend. They have been reported to Windstream and will hopefully be fixed tomorrow. There are no down lines this time so that's the good news. The bad news is that the phones don't ring into the store. You can still leave messages but retrieving the messages on our end is hit & miss. Outgoing calls from the marina appear to be being made through our voice/data line that is in use while processing credit card trans...actions.... go figure. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Those calling about boat rentals for the upcoming holiday weekend... we are booked with a long waiting list. There are still a couple of boats available on Monday though. Stay tuned!

Warning to stall renters: Be sure not to leave trash and or food on your boats while you're not at the dock. The food attracts critters and we've actually had a raccoon claw their way through the couch seating of a really nice pontoon boat of one of our stall renters this season. The replacement will cost upwards of 800.00. That beast was hungry. The coons also poop all over the dock. Trash left loosely in your boat will blow all over the marina including onto your neig...hbor's boats with the storms we've been having here lately. Please don't leave trash laying around. Another full morning of heavy rainfall at the marina and an afternoon of 50% chances or greater. We will remain closed until Thursday morning and resume normal 9 - 6 hours throughout the remainder of the holiday weekend. Weather is still looking good after today!

The marina will be closed today, Tuesday, September 1st due to the rain. Tomorrow's forecast looks very similar to today's but I will post an update on that tomorrow morning. The good news..... the weather for the holiday weekend looks flipping amazing! Thanks for hanging in there!... :D

Stall renters..... Please make sure tabs are cleared by the end of the upcoming weekend. We will not be allowing tabs after Labor Day Monday.

The marina will be open today beginning at 12:30. We still have a bit or rain coming but the majority of the weather this afternoon is tracking just to our South. Half days will be possible beginning at 12:30 but be on the lookout for more rain later today if the next round ends up a little more North than predicted.

The marina is closed until Saturday morning at 9:00. I will check messages throughout the day and am working from home the remainder of the day today and tomorrow. Paul

School starts today for 4 of our employees: JohnPaul (Elementary Special Ed Teacher), Yimmy (Senior), Ty (Junior) and Chester (Sophomore). On our final pizza order of the season, TJ's pizza sent us some Cheese Garlic bread pizzas to sample. It's no longer our final pizza order of the season and we'll be stocked up for Labor Day Weekend! A couple of things: 1. Weather is looking sketchy Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It's still too early to know exactly what to expect but the few renters we have in the books on those days should check in Tuesday afternoon and expect a possible cancellation. This impacts a total of about 4 renters. We will not be taking new reservations for those days until we're sure about the weather. 2. It has become nearly impossible to order anything marine-related this season, incl...uding: anchors, fuel gauges, tube ropes, wake boards, etc.. We've averaged about 70 rentals per week over the past couple of months and it has made it impossible to make seat repairs as well. Basically, some of our boats are in rough condition. They are being used much more than during a normal season and the schedule has been so jam packed that we would have had to cancel many existing reservations to make the needed repairs. If the seat to your boat is in less than good condition, we apologize. We're nearing the end of the season and appreciate everyone's business and patience. Paul

PLEASE HELP: A dog was found on Clearwater Lake today near some cliffs. I believe it was on the Webb Creek side of the lake but cannot confirm that for sure. The dog had a collar but no name tag and unable to tell he it is microchipped. Can you please share this post so that we can find the dog's home. There will likely be a video surfacing of a mild confrontation that I had with a couple of customers this evening. Just giving everyone a heads up. Those that know me, know the kind of service we provide. They also know that I'm not going to tolerate any nonsense. There were at least 2 swear words that flew out of my mouth in the heat of the moment. I'm not apologizing for any of it... just giving you fair warning should it appear. Shout out to our friends at Bluff View Marina and Webb Creek Marina. People are always under the impression that we're all arch rivals. Happily, we are all pretty good friends and are always willing to work with each other to find someone a rental, help a broken down boat and generally have one another's backs. Thanks to Dave for allowing one of our rentals to gas up yesterday during our power outage. **IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING SATURDAY MORNING There was an accidental fuel spill at the marina early this morning as we were getting fuel. A significant amount of fuel spilled into the cove and a hazmat team has been cleaning up all day long. Booms were placed around the marina in an attempt to contain the spill while the clean up continues. To our knowledge, there is no damage to boats/lifts etc. The Corps of Engineers as well as DNR have been on site throughout the day.... We're hoping to remove the booms early Saturday morning but this is a first for us and we're working through it. We've learned over the past several hours to expect the unexpected. We hope to be able to allow rental boats to leave the marina at the scheduled 9:00 a.m.. Anyone who is wishing to cancel, please let us know and we will gladly refund your deposit. We plan on being at the dock early so if it's convenient, you can call ahead to get an update by dialing 573-223-7224. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause both our stall renters and Saturday's boat renters. Paul Rumors are flowing about the amount of fuel that made it to the lake but that amount has yet to be established. There are also rumors about a hole in the tank and many other BS details that nobody could possibly know. Don't believe them... we all know that people can be idiots. #StayTuned

Hate to do this but I'm going to have to cancel all reservations that were scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, 7/31. The forecast looks to be an all-day rain event with potential strong/severe storms from 9 - 2 followed by intermittent rain the remainder of the day. There is no chance of even getting in a partial day on the lake and doing it safely. We apologize for the inconvenience and will be crediting your deposits back onto your credit cards. I will attempt to call every...one on the reservation list early in the morning. We don't do this often but I'm taking into consideration your safety as well as the safety of our dock staff. Paul

This is Friday's forecast as it stands at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. We've learned this week that a lot can change in 12+ hours. If the actual weather appears to be even remotely close to this forecast, I will not allow boats to go out. Just making sure that everyone is aware. We will monitor it closely and let everyone know as it gets closer. This is one of those days that we would honor an advanced cancelation if you're ready to make that call and refund any deposit. Please note that our phone lines are still down at the marina. Apparently, an RV knocked out our lines up in Loop C of the campground. We hope to be back up and running sometime tomorrow. Also.. we are NOT taking additional reservations this week due to the expected weather/rainfall over the next several days. Saturdays are still booked up through Labor Day weekend. Sunday rentals are hard to come by as well. You can leave a message on the voice mail and we will contact you as soon as the lines are back up.

The likelihood of having rentals on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday is looking grim. We won't call those days this early and will continue to hope things change. They are calling for nearly 5 inches of rain over the next 7 days with the bulk of the rainfall happening over those 3 days. Stay tuned!

Post Labor Day Weekend information for Clearwater Marina: Like in seasons past, we will close for the day on Tuesday, September 8th. After the holiday weekend, you'll have only 3 days available for renting a boat. Saturday, 9/12... Sunday, 9/13 Saturday, 9/19 The rental fee is discounted to $225.00 for an 8 hour rental from 9 - 5. A $100.00 credit card payment is required when the reservation is made. Fuel is NOT included in the rental fee. Our last day open will be on September 19th. Gas will still be available for our stall renters. I will be at the marina from noon to 1 on Saturdays and Sundays after the 19th. If you need fuel, you'll have to arrange to be there during that time. That goes through until the end of the month. Depending upon weather, that may extend into the first week of October but that's not a guarantee. It's been a crazy season and we're looking forward to the break ;) Thanks for a good year! Dee and I are planning our version of "Dock Worker Appreciation Day" on Sunday, July 26th. The guys are going out on a deck boat when the last rental shows up and do some tubing with Jason Carter. John, Dee, Bill and I are going to finish closing for them while they are out on the lake. When they come back in at 8:00 p.m., we're serving them Murphy's Pizza. :) It's been a crazy-busy season so far with no end in sight. This is just a small way we can thank JohnPaul Manetz, Jimmy Hutchison & Ty Silvester & Julie Neal for a great first half of the Summer. They work some long hours & willingly work with us on a changing schedule and they are appreciated! Julie will be along for the ride to take some awesome pics.

We took 23 new boat reservations yesterday. What does this mean? It means we're not slowing down and we recommend you get your reservations in the books as soon as you can. Last Friday, this week appeared to be a slow week for us but we're nearly booked for the remainder of the week. Our first weekend rental is available in mid-August and Labor Day Weekend is booking up quickly. Looks like Clearwater Marina may be expanding into the kayak rental business beginning the Summer of 2021. There are a lot of details to work out so stay tuned..... Hope everyone has an awesome Sunday!

Summer rentals have been a little crazy this season. We're averaging about 65 boat rentals per week. A couple of weeks, we've peaked out with 77 rentals. Saturday rentals are hard to come by with our first available in late August. Labor Day weekend is starting to fill up. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend! Paul

Sorry to hear about the fire, Sarah and company. We look forward to the cafe reopening soon. Our staff orders carry out a few times a week and we will continue to support the Cafe as soon as it reopens.
