Our staff will go to great lengths to make our residents smile. Joy Wright went outside on Monday in the beautiful snow to make snow angels for folks looking out their windows. By the time she came back inside, some of her clothes were wet, but she said it is worth it to see their smiles! Thanks, Joy!

Our folks enjoy working on craft projects and these are two we have done recently - Snow Globes and Heart Trees. The snow globes had to dry a couple of days and then they were able to display them in their rooms. The heart trees turned out cute and they worked so hard on getting them just the way they want them.

Here at CCNH, we have been celebrating Valentine's all week. Staff drew names for Secret Valentine's and the folks have been receiving secret gifts each day. Today was our annual Valentine's Party and the 2021 King & Queen were announced and the "secrets" revealed. The Queen is Edith Dochterman and the King is William Hackney, congratulations to both! A game of "My Heart is Bursting" was played, refreshments served and Valentines were handed out. During the game, residents drew out a heart with a question to answer and then they could "burst" a cup on the heart and claim their prize. Thank you to all who had sent in Valentine's for the residents, they loved getting them.

Recently the folks used some of the old cards fronts to make a Christmas decoration for their rooms. Turned out really cute!

Following along with the cookie day, we also celebrated Cookie Cutter Week. Getting to see old cookie cutters led to lots of sharing and reminiscing. Of course there had to be cookies to enjoy!

On December the 4th, the folks decorated cookies as part of Cookie Day. They had a lot of fun decorating and then enjoyed eating them! Such pretty designs!

The employees had a friendly competition decorating resident's doors. First place went to Abby McDaniel for the Charlie Brown themed door. Second place went to Myranda Armstrong for the beach themed door. Thank you to everyone that participated!

Clark County Nursing Home is excited to announce we will begin indoor scheduled visits tomorrow! Visits will be 25 minutes long, in a designated room. Two visitors will be allowed at a time. Visitors will be required to sign-in, have their temperature checked, and answer questions regarding COVID symptoms. Please call the Business Office at 660-727-3303 to schedule your visit.
