WARREN COUNTY, MISSOURI - COVID UPDATES: 1. The Warren County Health Department follows CDC guidelines and has not adopted the state's recent guidelines weaken...ing quarantine guidelines in schools. These guidelines are not in alignment with the current CDC recommendations and evidence. These guidelines could reduce the effectiveness of one of our best mitigation strategies to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community- especially at this time of increased cases. CLARIFICATION The Governor of Missouri gave schools boards and local health departments the authority to decide whether or not they wanted to adopt the revised guidelines. The Warren County Health Department chose to follow CDC guidelines and not adopt the recent state revisions on school quarantine. 2. Warren County has reported a significant increase in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks, to better respond to new COVID-19 cases the department is implementing changes to its investigation protocols tentatively starting Dec. 7th. We have contracted with an approved COVID Case Investigation and Contact Tracing contractor that has been vetted by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. MAXIMUS Federal is providing these same services for multiple other counties in our region and across the state. We will provide additional information on the transition in the near future. 3. We will have a FREE Community Testing Site at the Warren County Fairgrounds (615 Fairgrounds Rd, Warrenton MO) on Dec. 11th 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Register at health.mo.gov/communitytest or call 877-435-8411.

The Aquatic Center is adding additional rec swim time slots to the pool schedule during the school winter break starting Dec. 22. Also starting that Dec. 21, both Members and Warrenton Residents. can reserve rec swim time slots and register guests!!!!! Capacity is still limited to 20. $4 admission per person. Starting December 21, residents of Warrenton can make reservations for recreational swim time slots; you do not need to be an Aquatic Center member. Pool capacity will still be limited to 20 persons per time slot. Proof of residency is required at the time of registration. Register for a timeslot at the Aquatic Center or online.

COVID-19 has halted the City's in person ribbon cuttings, but it has not slowed the number of new businesses opening in our city.
