REMINDER-CHRISTMAS TREE DISPOSAL: Real trees can be put out with your yard waste on your regular trash day through March. Please be sure to remove ALL decorations/tinsel/etc. prior to placing the tree at the curb! They don't need to be cut in shorter pieces unless you have a Clark Griswold tree that would be difficult for our Constable Sanitation workers to load into the truck.
Raymore Police Chief Jan Zimmerman and several other department members received their first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination at Belton Regional Medical ...Center today, along with first responders from the Belton Missouri Police Department and South Metro Fire District. The Belton Regional nursing staff were extremely professional and helpful and I didn’t feel a thing, Zimmerman said. We truly appreciate that we were given the opportunity to participate this early to do our part to alter the trajectory of this pandemic that has impacted nearly every aspect of day to day life for almost a year. The Cass County Health Department has developed a vaccine survey tool to inform county residents when and where they may qualify to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Visit the Cass County Health Department's website at https://casscounty.com/2462/COVID-19-Vaccine to take the survey or for more information on the vaccination distribution plan and vaccine safety. http://bit.ly/3sfecaX
We originally shared the news of our win a while back, but we just received this plaque today! The Kansas City Metro Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) awarded Raymore Public Works the Public Works Project of the Year - Structures Projects under $5 million for our work on the Hawk Ridge Park Improvements Project. The project was completed in August 2019, nominated for project of the year in February of 2020, and we were informed of the win in May of 2020.... The awards are generally given out at an annual event every December, but you can probably guess why there was no in-person event this time! The project was completely managed by the City of Raymore's Engineering Technician Paschal Smith. B. Dean Construction was the primary contractor and Confluence was the primary consultant. The Hawk Ridge Park Improvements Project- made possible by Raymore voters as part of the 2016 no tax increase bond projects- added several fully accessible amenities to 79-acre Hawk Ridge Park at 701 Johnston Parkway. The amenities include an amphitheater, fishing dock, jetty and bridge, shelter house with family restrooms, paved walking trail around Johnston Lake, expanded parking and additional restrooms. Hawk Ridge Park became the FIRST inclusive park in the state of Missouri with these amenities that are accessible to people of all abilities.

KC Water has advised that some customers may experience a metallic or rubber-hose taste in water for the next couple days. The water is safe to drink. The taste change is due to automating a phosphate feed. Small amounts of phosphates in water keep harmful copper and lead (used widely in plumbing materials) to a low, safe level. The taste should return to normal within a few days.
We'll send your letters to Santa!
Welcome to Raymore, Officers McGovern and Maynard!
