Blizzard to near blizzard conditions are expected tomorrow with strong winds and snow. Travel conditions will be impacted around the region, but will be most treacherous across northwestern Missouri. Consider postponing travel, especially along I-29 and I-35 north of the metro.

Last week, City Council met & approved the Clactin Estates Final Plat. Clactin Estates is a residential subdivision located west of Cornerstone Elementary between Wornall & Kearney Roads & east of Cherry Hills.

Winds and winter weather will be affecting the forecast area, especially north and NW Missouri. If possible, keep travel at a minimum on Friday and avoid travel north of HWY 36 due to the chance for blowing snow reducing visibilities, creating hazardous traveling conditions.

At any rate, warm and breezy conditions are expected today with highs in the mid 70s with wind gusts 25 to 35 mph. Tonight a cold front, will move into the area bringing the chance for a few strong storms capable of wind gusts 40 to 50 mph as well as small hail. Temperatures behind the cold front on Tuesday will drop through the day with afternoon highs in the mid 40s to mid 50s. So, although we expect that the #DayShift will come in pretty quietly this morning, we just know come tomorrow morning they're going to walk in with that smirk on their face. You know the one! Another warm day tomorrow then cooler weather returns Tuesday. In addition, we could see some rain and t-storms tomorrow as the cold front passes through. If t-storms develop, a few could be on the stronger side with small hail and some strong wind gusts.

Warm but breezy conditions are expected to continue into Sunday. Southerly winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts of 25 to 40 mph can be expected.
