PILOT GROVE CITY COUNCIL TO HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON SETTING THE 2020 PROPERTY TAX LEVY The Pilot Grove City Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 6:00 pm at City Hall, 213 College Street, to give tax payers an opportunity to give their input on the proposed property tax rate levy for 2020 as proposed by the Missouri State Auditor. The 2020 assessed valuation for both real estate and personal property of the City totals $5,512,201, an increase of $503 from 2019 assessed valuation of $5,511,698. The Missouri State Auditor has proposed the tax levy be set at .7569 cents per $100 valuation, the same as last year’s. The Council will consider the proposed 2020 tax levy by ordinance during a special hearing scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 6pm at City Hall.

Once again there were items placed on the ground at the trash dumpsters at the recycling center that was not picked up by the trash collector for being either to large to heavy. Those who placed the large mattress there are asked to remove it or cut it into smaller pieces for removal.

Trash day is going to be delayed until tomorrow. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
