! State and National data has shown nearly 50% of Missourians with disabilities want to be a part of the workforce. ... The largest public funding program in Missouri to support this goal is Vocational Rehabilitation. The Governor’s office has proposed a reduction of state monies to VR which would result in a loss of $3.7 million of federal funding which directly supports job seekers with disabilities. Without this money, many of these job seekers would face significant barriers in reaching their employment goals. ! Reach out to your local legislator and let them know that job seekers with disabilities need this money.
