As election day, approaches, let us pray together, for our country, our leaders, election officials, and all of those most impacted by the results of the elections. Let us come together to remember that God is God, and God alone. We will stand in the Shalom of God in whom we trust. We will join together via Zoom on Monday evening, the day before the election, and on Wednesday evening, the day after the election. Look for details to come.

Hello everyone! Just a reminder that this Saturday, Oct. 24th, is the annual "Make a Difference Day" in Webster Groves and Shrewsbury. This is a day to reach out and support neighbors, businesses, community workers, etc. with good deeds and acts of kindness. In recognition of this day, we are challenging members of CLC to think of ways (big or small) that they can help the local community. Please take pictures and post these on the CLC Facebook page and/or e-mail them to [email protected] so that I can include all our positive efforts in the weekly e-mail. Thank you! Some ideas include: - Sending a thank you note to a current or former teacher - Helping a neighbor rake their lawn - Paying for the order of the person behind you in the drive-thru line - Donating items to local non-profits such as Nurses for Newborns or Webster - Rock Hill Ministries (see link above for a list of local organizations that take donations). - Picking up trash on your neighborhood street - Sending a delivery of diapers to a neighbor family who just had a baby - Please don't be limited to the list above...there are so many creative ideas out there!

Friday vigils continue! This Friday, October 23, at 6pm, we'll be out on Lockwood again. Let's join our neighbors and stand in solidarity with our black siblings.
