While the church gathered is ideal, we can still continue to grow, even in isolation and in smaller groups. READ MORE > The Comparison Trap https://bit.ly/35iEJdU

Nothing can take away the splendor Jesus gives. At the end of the day, our security cannot be exhaustively found in financial markets, the clothes we wear, the retirement nest egg we've been putting away. Those may fall and fail. But we put our security in a person, Jesus Christ, and His coming Kingdom. It may cost us splendor now, but there is splendor in trusting in Jesus that this world cannot touch. We have a beautiful inheritance anchored in Him. He is our security.
What cultivates a sense of security in your life? Join us as we lean into one of the biggest areas where we look for security and simultaneously one of the greatest avenues of moral compromise. Revelation has been astounding at pulling back the curtain on reality. Join us as we continue to see our world and lives from God’s perspective. The Prostitute & The Bride... A tree has seen a lot. God has seen it all. Nothing surprises Him or catches Him off guard, and as such, I can, like a tree, wait patiently. I can trust in Him and rest in His provision. Trees encourage me to take the long view. READ MORE > I Want to Be a Tree: Learning to Trust from a Mighty Sequoia https://bit.ly/3632DJr
Common Good 2020 | Church-Wide Baptism - https://mailchi.mp/chr/common-good-2020-church-wide-baptism
This past Sunday we had our ribbon cutting ceremony to open the new building! It was a special time of celebration and thanksgiving to God for His provisions and blessings. We pray this space would be used for to further God's Kingdom and bless the downtown community. #fordowntown #christcommunitykc
Every time I plant a tree I feel like it is an act of faith, looking ahead into a distant future. I plant knowing full-well that the greatest size and beauty of this tree could likely be long after I am gone. Planting a tree is always for the people who outlive us. Trees take the long view and they encourage us to do the same. READ MORE > I Want to Be a Tree: Learning to Trust from a Mighty Sequoia https://bit.ly/3632DJr
Jesus is King over all. And His kingdom is supreme. No matter what happens after Election Day, we can rest confidently knowing that the Lamb is on His throne. Who else has done what Jesus has done? Who else can do what Jesus is doing? Who else is worthy of our allegiance but Christ? We have a choice to make. Whose politics will we be marked by? The beast or the Lamb? Not just in name, but in means, hopes, and actions, may it be the Lamb. And may we know the blessing of restin...g in His presence now and forevermore. Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the Kingdom and power and glory forever and ever. Amen.

In the height of the election season, most would say, Don’t talk politics. What does that have to do with the gospel anyway? But when you’re reading through Revelation, you can’t help but say, How can you keep from talking politics? Join us this week as we continue to walk through this artfilled, brilliantly inspired text, the book of Revelation, as we explore whose politics Christians are to be known for throughout every generation.
