Our first sculpture was debuted in early March at City Hall. Francois Chouteau, sculpted by Kwan Wu, can be seen throughout March in the Rotunda.

FRANCOIS CHOUTEAU STATUE DEBUTS MARCH 6 The first for four statues for the Francois Chouteau & Native American Heritage Fountain will be unveiled at noon, Wed., March 6 in the Rotunda of KCMO City Hall. Meet the sculptor Kwan Wu (working on the Chouteau statue in the photo), and thank donors and city officials who are making this magnificent art and history creation come to life.
Very exciting to see the progress Kwan Wu is making on the first statue. Keith Nelson visited Kwan Wu June 30 to see the nearly finished, heroic-size sculpture of Francois Chouteau.
