My hope is to translate these findings by screening mothers with environmental risk factors and their children for genetic variants in cardiac regulatory genes, says Dr. Basu. The possibilities are limitless, and Dr. Basu credits The Children’s Heart Foundation for allowing her to explore them. Today, her research continues. http://bit.ly/2Kt84un

Meet #HeartWarrior Roman Hunter. He was born with a congenital heart defect (#CHD) known as Transposition of the Great Arteries (#TGA). His parents Liz and Ryan talk about their experience and why they support & volunteer for The Children’s Heart Foundation. The Children’s Heart Foundation feels like family to us. It gave us a sense of community at a time of when we felt alone. It takes an entire CHD community. Thank you to the Hunter family and every heart family who help make life-saving research possible.
