Meet Joni Reinkemeyer! Joni Reinkemeyer is a Special Instructor with Children’s Therapy Support who lives in Jefferson City, Mo. She graduated from Lincoln university with a bachelors degree in elementary education and is certified in early childhood education! Joni has always had a love for working with kids! This will also be her second year teaching Kindergarten. She started providing services for First steps with CTS in July 2020! She learned about first steps because her son was in first steps just until recently when he aged out! She said it was the best program and helped him and their family so much! She is so glad she can help families in the same way first steps helped their family and son! In her free time she loves to play outdoors with her son jackson and go on walks!

Meet Cindy Hermann Vessell! Cindy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist. Cindy has worked in the field for over 30 years and has been providing services with Children’s Therapy Support for First Steps for the past 6 years. When she is not working, Cindy enjoys reading, antiques, and cooking. She and her husband are recent empty-nesters and love spending as much time as possible with their three children. Cindy is such a blessing to have working with children and their families.

Meet Alecia DeCosty! Alecia is a Physical Therapist for Children’s Therapy Support who provides services for Missouri First Steps! Alecia graduated with her DPT from Maryville University in 2013. She worked at SLCH for 3 years before starting with First Steps. Alecia lives in Wentzville with her husband and 4 cats. Alecia has been such a blessing to have working with these young children.

Thank you to all who purchased items off the Amazon wish list or donated money to buy gifts for students with special needs. Also an extra thank you to Debbie Wolk, OT, and Brandi Schwartz, PT, who organized and put the wish list together. The gifts will be delivered to the students by Debbie Wolk. These students will have an extra special Christmas this year as well as new developmental toys/items that the therapists will be able to use with them during therapy time!
