This newly discovered Covid Tongue is in fact, NOT new and is called Geographic Tongue. We note this condition during our oral cancer screenings in patients multiple times a day. This characteristic is due to the loss of papillae (tiny bumps that contain taste buds and temperature sensors) which is harmless but sometimes causes a burning sensation of the tongue. Someone’s Geographic Tongue might very well flare up if they contract Covid as it is a result of our body’s in...flammatory response, but just because you have Geographic Tongue does not mean you have Covid. #factcheck

The Doctors got their 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine last night. Here’s what Dr. Carissa had to say. #weloveourpatients Andrew and I added another layer of protection yesterday. Protection for our patients. Protection for our staff. Protection for our family and friends. I realize I am young and healthy and I’d like to think I could take on COVID and recover without struggle. But what about my elderly, immuno-compromised patients? What about my kids with their small,... underdeveloped airways? My parents? My grandparents? I’m not willing to take the risk of harboring Covid and unknowingly passing it on to my neighbor. The unknowns of what this virus can do and the potential long-term repercussions are more concerning to me than the lesser likely side effects associated with a vaccine that has been carefully developed by brilliant scientists. I have heard many say I trust in God to protect me from this. I do too! Have you ever heard the story of The Drowning Man? At the gates of heaven a man said to God, I trusted you to save me and you didn’t. God said to the man, I sent you a truck, a lifeboat and a helicopter to save you from the flood. What more did you need? You guys, God is sending us a lifeboat! I understand there are risks involved in receiving a vaccine and I am a FIRM believer that everyone has the right to make their own decision regarding their own bodies but I encourage everyone to make their decisions based on science and their personal health status, not conspiracy theories found on social media.
