The Last Dance......what an unbelievable project for State Farm to sponsor! I don’t know about everyone else but this series has really made an impact on me over the last 5 weeks and I can’t believe it will all come to an end in a few hours! This incredible documentary has given me the opportunity to show my kids a behind-the-scenes look at the greatest competitor that I’ve ever seen. It has also brought back so many great memories of my childhood watching Jordan and the B...ulls absolutely dominate the '90s. There is so much about Jordan and that team that was never understood until now and that has brought about many awesome conversations that I’ve shared with friends, customers and family members that I haven’t been able to see in months. The Last Dance, in my opinion, has been an incredible opportunity for sports fans to escape from everything that we are all dealing with right now and just for two hours at a time, watch a glimpse of the human spirit at its finest. With my kids and my team, I’m always stressing the importance of competitiveness, teamwork, accountability and being resilient in the face of adversity. Michael Jordan embodied all of those characteristics at the highest level, even more so than I ever realized. He led by example and never asked anyone to do anything that he wouldn’t do himself. He pushed others to be the best version of themselves even if they didn’t want it as bad as he did for them. Family was everything to Michael and the relationship that he had with his father was a driving force in his life, as we all saw with the emotions that overwhelmed him after winning his 5th NBA title on Father’s Day following the tragic loss of his dad. Michael is, was, and in my opinion will always be the GOAT! Not just for what he did on the basketball court, but how he sacrificed everything so that those of us that watched him could be entertained, but even more so, inspired to do something great! This documentary is as good as it gets, so if you haven’t watched it, I would highly recommend the 10-hour investment. It sure has motivated me to be be better and that is something that we all need as we attempt to return to some sense of normal life!
