Our deepest condolences to the Lasorda family. Tommy Lasorda was a close family friend to the Gitto family for decades, dating back to the early 70’s when Lasorda was a third base coach. After learning of his passing, Charlie Gitto, Jr said today, I guess dad & Tommy are back together again now & I bet they’re telling stories. The private room On the Hill has always been known as the Lasorda Room because of his support of our family restaurant. The Gitto name even coming up during a World Series. His love of pasta was legendary. As Tommy said, When I eat, I don’t get full. I stop because my arm gets tired. #RIPTommyLasorda
