Staging definitely adds coziness!

It’s fun picking up inventory your forgot you had since it has been in a display home for awhile! I’m also thankful for STL Moving and Grooving LLC for doing such a great job especially since I tweaked my back.

Curb Appeal: Your curb appeal is the first impression. Durning the fall season, spruce up your lawn by raking up fallen leaves, and working on brown spots in the grass. Fall weather is perfect for cleaning your gutters and downspouts, pressure wash your siding, seal your driveways, and give your front door a fresh coat of paint!

PILLOWS!!! One of the quickest, easiest, and often times most cost-effective way to freshen up your living room space is PILLOWS!!! Add different colors, shapes, and textures to a neutral colored couch to change the look up!

Fall Tip Add a basket of comfort to a living room or bedroom! If you’ve seen my staged homes, I always sneak one in!!! You can easily transition a space from summer to fall by adding a basket full of cozy throws or pillows. It creates an atmosphere of snuggle as it is getting cooler outside. I love that baskets come in so many different shapes, color, and textures too!

I know houses are selling fast but it’s still important to BRIGHTEN THINGS UP! Not only do well-lit rooms look larger but they also look more inviting. Now that fall is approaching and the days are getting shorter, there is a smaller window of opportunity for using natural light in your home. During the day, open your blinds and pull back the curtains to let in as much natural lighting as possible. On cloudy days or during evening showings rely on artificial lighting to showcase each room. It also helps when it ties in with the rooms decor. You want lighting to look natural so find lamps that look like accessories.

This just makes me smile! I love that my daughter wants to work with me when she gets older. I don’t even feel like it’s a job but more of a fun hobby! I absolutely love what I do and I hope she feels the same way!

Sometimes just changing a few things around can make a BIG difference. Here is an occupied stage we did today! We used some of the homeowners things but brought in a few pieces of furniture, accessories, lighting, and artwork.

Traditional home staging is still very important. I see several photographers trying to push virtual staging right now. I understand that the current situation is a little different than what we are used to. However, I don’t think virtual staging is the way to go. I may be biased. Center Staging and Design’s home staging statistics are that homes are selling on average 14 days on market. Pro’s to traditional home staging:... * Buyers won’t be disappointed when they see that the house looks just like the pictures online. * Almost ALL buyers get a positive emotional reaction to a well staged home. * Buyers can actually see how they could lay out their furniture and what would fit in which places. * Recommendations of cost effective repairs and updates are given along with paint color choices, room layouts, furniture suggestions to fit the rooms, decluttering suggestions, etc. Let me know if I can be of any help during this time!

Got one of the two stages planned for today completed before the snow! We even started at 8:00am to beat the snow but Mother Nature has other plans.

Center Staging and Design has been up and running for 2 years now! I am reflecting back on our journey. It started in our basement, then a storage unit and our three car garage to now having a warehouse and tripling our business in just two short years. I have met so many great people and have join several wonderful organizations. I have learned more about myself and what I’m capable of in these last few years too!
