Lots of work going on in the shopping center off of Gibson Avenue. We’re asking all motorists to travel with caution in the area as trucks are coming in and out for sewer line work. Remember, it’s Work Zone Awareness Week! Thank you to all for your patience and understanding!

Gibson Avenue Entrance to Shopping Center Closed For Sewer Line Work The Gibson Avenue entrance to the shopping center at the corner of Highway 63 and Gibson Av...enue is closed from now until further notice for sewer line installation. City of West Plains crews are working together with Stewart Construction to install a new sewer line in the shopping center. The following businesses and their customers are affected: U.S. Cellular, Vision Express, and Abrams Chiropractic. Those customers will need to park along the east side of Chen’s Garden entering from Kentucky Avenue and walk along the sidewalk to each business. Motorists are asked to use extreme caution when traveling in the area because crews will be coming in and out of the shopping center with equipment. We apologize for the issue and will notify the public when the Gibson Avenue entrance will be open.

Ozarks Medical Center Expansion Update: The main entrance to the hospital was closed as phase 2 of the construction process begins. With this change, the new m...ain entrance is now located at Surgical Services. Main admissions and the front desk volunteers have also moved to the new main entrance. There are multiple shuttle drivers circulating the main campus. If you need a shuttle, you can call 417-293-4731 or 417-293-8429. As construction continues, we ask that our visitors be cautious and not enter construction areas. There are signs posted and barricades blocking access to active construction sites.
