The past year has brought about many challenges and hurdles, but one of the things that we are thankful for is the opportunity that our students have had to compete in the Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) competitions. These co-curricular activities and competition are a vital part of the learning that takes place at CTC. All that to say, congrats to the following students for their performance at the recent virtual FCCLA competition. Food Innovations Level 3 Seniors- Maria Melendrez and Jane Ioanis earned a Gold medal which qualified them for the National Leadership Conference! Focus on Children Level 2- Sophomores- Cassidy Charley, Fatima Melendrez, and Raul Lopez- Juarez earned a Silver medal!

Congrats to our own Mr. Howard for being selected as the local and regional Teacher of the Year by the Carthage VFW Post 2590. Mr. Howard is one of our Agriculture teacher and FFA advisor. #cteisessential #focusoncte

Congrats to these great students for earning their State FFA Degree!

Last year, our carpentry students hung the drywall in the Sweet House. Built in 1872, it’s the oldest home still standing inside Carthage city limits. They got to go tour the completed project last week. The house was recently sold to a private buyer by the Carthage Historic Preservation Society. #focusoncte #cteisessential

The Carthage Technical Center expansion is on track to open in August 2021. We have been hard at work redesigning our website to allow students and parents to see all of the great opportunities available for them here at CTC.
